They weren't even to the salary floor with 4 spots open, and his buyout made him a UFA, I'm pretty sure he won't be making what he was with the Oilers. They're a very thin team on defense and he's a good player with a cannon shot when his hand isn't broken.

Yeah, but he'll get in a fight his first shift and be broken for the rest of the season 0:45 into his first game.

Vancouver management has been making good moves for he last 5 years I think Sturm is going to have a good year in for the Canucks. Also happy Canada Day Canadians!
