    I'd take a flyer on Plek/Jagr together.
Hell, if Montreal held a rally so they could buy Gomez out, but take donations from random fans so they didn't fully eat it... I'd pitch in. LOL

Pouliot is another enigma too. Has some games where he's just amazing, then others where he just disappears.
That's where Kovalev drove me insane. You know the top of the circle is HIS spot, we've all seen the highlights, then he'd have the games where he'd be right in those same spots with the puck and look for a pass when he had a clear shot.

It would drive me crazy if they're saving money to pitch at Markov, just to get outbid by a team overpaying for a d-man and wind up with neither.

lol at comparing Jagr to fucking kovalev.

Jagr was one of the most dominant in the game until he decided to leave the NHL

    ugh

    http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....ings_wont.html

sounds like red wings are going to pick up Jagr. I'm still hoping we wont get him we need to take some of the guys up for the AHL and develop them a bit more. Our offense isn't bad except for PP (If they are bringing in Jarg for that it'll be a different story) but i want to seem them move out Tartar and perhaps pick up some young talent from another team.

Also this looks to be the wings preseason games

    Sept. 21 -- at Pittsburgh, 7 p.m.

Sept. 22 -- vs. Philadelphia at London, Ontario, 7 p.m.

Sept. 23 -- vs. Philadelphia at Joe Louis Arena, 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 25 -- vs. Chicago at Joe Louis Arena, 4 p.m.

    Sept. 28 -- at Chicago, 8:30 p.m.

Sept. 30 -- vs. Toronto at Joe Louis Arena, 7:30 p.m.

    Oct. 1 -- at Toronto, 7 p.m.

Oct. 2 -- vs. Pittsburgh at Joe Louis Arena, 4 p.m.

From what I saw in international competition, he could still play at top NHL level.

He would probably be a 50 point player on an average line, could probably get around 70 with someone like Crosby or playing with Datsyuk and/or Zetterberg.

Man, Datsyuk, Jagr, and Zetterberg would just be sick to watch as a line.

As expected, Board of Gov. approves move of the Thrashawks to Winnipeg, also a change to rule 48 and rule 41.

Brooksie is confirming that the Rangers will be facing the Flyers in the Winter Classic on Jan 2nd after some speculation they'd pull out.

Brooks... what paper does he write for? I seem to recall that name being tied to a lot of mis-information but im sure he could be right on this one.

NYP. He makes a lot of stories out of nothing so people read his shit, but he's a pretty accurate beat writer when it comes to breaking stuff.

Richards, maybe. There's no doubting that we're looking for a veteran center right now. But I doubt Chevy is even going to throw him an offer.

Toews, long shot. Doubt Hawks are willing to let him go, and if they do, they'll be asking for an absurd amount in return. (Plus, if we did poach him, I'd probably be banned for quite awhile me thinks... )

Selanne has already expressed he has no plans to play for Winnipeg again. I can respect that, his life has moved on from here.

Eh, I personally would like to go with something new. While I would be fine with the Jets...new team, new owner, new building. Plus, the Jets history does technically belong to Phoenix now, and once if that deal goes through with Hulsizer, we'll never get it back.

I still think it's going to be the Manitoba Moose. The AHL team hasn't retained the name and the name is already an established brand.

In related news the Canucks will announce their new farm team affiliate at the draft as I'm pretty sure they don't want their players on the other side of the continent.

"We know that the fans of this province have an appetite for NHL hockey that is rivalled by few in the league and intend to work very hard to make Manitobans proud of our franchise for years to come."
Chipmans definitely hinting at something me thinks
