Any woman who actually skated would probably tell you to go to hell lol, I can't imagine one could actually skate in those without dying.

Depends on how well you wear heels and can adjust your center of balance. I danced for over twenty years so I have great balance but some women teeter on even the slightest of a heel. I am used to balancing on very high heels (and the tips of my toes) so I bet I could skate in those.

Though if you look at the link, they're actually shoes, not skates, so all hypothetical anyway. But still pretty hot, I'd wear them to every single hockey game ever, if I could afford them.

Can't really be that much more difficult then women who manage to walk around easily in ballet boots. Ankle/Calf strength + incredible balance = win?

I've confirmed myself as being able to both skate reasonably well and run in high heels, though I'd be pretty skeptical about my ability to combine the two.

I'd be willing to try if high heeled skates actually existed, but I wouldn't recommend 95% of the population attempting it. Considering there are so few people who can even manage to walk in high heels (seriously I see women who insist on wearing heels who can barely stand upright, it makes no goddamn sense you look like a fucking idiot) I'd strongly doubt most of the population could do it, those who have skated for years or have trained in dance I'd bet could, everyone else, would be hilarious to watch until they got hurt.

David Perron will not be healthy in time for training camp or the regular season as he recovers from a concussion he got from Joe Thornton in November 2010 and Peter Mueller will finally be returning to the Avs after a concussion he recieved in 2009-2010 kept him out all of last season.

Hearing about all these lengthy concussion sit downs makes me worry about Crosby :/ He got double concussed and his concussion was more recent than Perron's.... makes me think he won't be back until at least mid-season.

Lebrun also reports Kane has had a minor setback with his wrist and won't be good to go at the start of training camp at least, and Doughty-Kings talks have stopped and Doughty will not reports to Kings camp until he has his extension.

But the media was ready to anoint him the next Bobby Orr, and it seems like it went to his head and he's pricing himself out of what the Kings' ceiling is with his contract. What has he really done on the ice? A great season two years ago, a good one last season, and...? I say fuck him, let him sit out for a year. PK Subban and John Carlson are already the next big thing, hot shot, and neither of them are making seven figures next season.

Doughty has shown he has potential to be Norris caliber, Subban and Carlson have shown they can be good. The 3 aren't in the same ballpark right now. At the same time, he is still 21 years old. Unless it is a length of contract issue he really should not be doing this to the Kings.

That's pretty much the crux of my point. He's young, he'll get paid eventually, but you really run the risk of alienating your fan base and the media by holding out into training camp and the preseason, and it also puts so much pressure on you to perform once you do sign.

I know Subban and Carlson aren't there yet, but they both had good seasons which were on par with Doughty's '08-'09. One or both of them could take that next step this season. My money's on Subban, he and Markov (if healthy) should be the focal point for the Habs power play this season, whereas Carlson probably won't get minutes at the point with Green, Ovechkin, Hamrlik and Wideman more experienced in that role.

Hoping Markov's plastic leg's dont give out...but based on the terms of his contract, where if he suffers any knee injury the team isnt liable to pay insurance nor him (or something like that), I think he's 100% ready.

Heard so many different things. Seems like it hasnt been money so much as the Kings dont want to add in a NMC. Lenght also is playing a roll as the Kings would like the deal to take in some of his UFA years but seems like his agent wants this deal to take him right to hes an UFA.

At this rate, i get the feeling they might just do a one year deal to see if he can bounce back from last year.

I dont think he will will hold out. He loves to play and loves being a King but right now, is letting his agent deal with it but if it doesnt get worked out soon, he will prob just step in and say I want this done now.
