I don't see how we are trying to subject the Libyan people, I think we are more trying to protect them, but whatever.

    Stay hands-off.

The United States has NEVER participated in a justified war aside from the war in the pacific.

Please don't tell me the Civil War was fought over slavery or that we saved the jews in WWII when in fact we indirectly caused WWII by creating the climate in Germany for Hitler to rise in power.

btw Russia would've defeated the Nazi's we needed not get involved.

The Irony in all this is we have taken the Japanese tactic of Preemptive strikes and have recently used it a lot in our Wars today.

This of course implies that we should not enter strategic alliances of the "we got your back, you got ours" variety, in your estimation, correct?

You're assuming the super powers today haven't attacked us because they're afraid of our "strategic alliances" when we out gun and out spend all of our allies combined.

So because the Stock Exchange collapsed, which cause world wide economic depression, that was the straw that broke the Germans back? Nevermind that Hitler was given power in a seedy political deal by Hindenburg and Papen who foolishly thought they could control him or the German people were still angry about the Treaty of Versailles and supported Hitler because he promised to overturn it. IDK, I havent opened a history book in like 20 years, and I dont watch the History channel unless I'm really stoned.

Go ahead, withdraw from all alliances worldwide and then see what happens to your foreign influence.

    Seriously.

There's nothing wrong with an alliance with strong, democratic, stable governments to protect each others needs when someone gets attacked. If we stuck to that we wouldn't be in any of the wars we're in now or have been in for the last 60 years.

I actually feel kinda cheated here with this war all we got is threats of murdering the rebels and 1 claim by a libyan women that she was raped by some soldiers.

It's like they aren't even trying too hard now which is really disturbing.

Remember Iraq was actually a popular war in the beginning

I was going to post some more but holy shit once I got to this just... I can't believe I've ever bothered with these people.
