Watched the first two episodes so far. Not really digging the whole who is the traitor arc. Nor the other aliens so far. They are kind of meh. The whole Karen angle is just dumb to me. Yet for some reason I keep watching this stupid show three seasons later lol.

It's been two+ seasons of filler. But we keep watching. Probably because all the other shows are done for the summer. Being one of the few series that premieres in the summer that garners a lot of viewership on it's own.

How the hell is Karen the new overlord? I thought overlords were the ones controlling everything, therefore their minds are free. Karen is still under their control, so how can she be an overlord based off this fact alone?

Here's what I don't get. Season finale last year Karen kissed Hal and implanted him with what appeared to be the overlord's consciousness. He clearly wasn't Hal when he was looking in the mirror etc. Now it's just a "probe" and Hal seems no worse for the wear. I don't understand the whole let's all follow Karen plot because like you said she's still technically under alien control. The only way this shit is going to be addressed in all likelihood is a flashback episode or two. But with how limited the series is in episodes I don't see them devoting an episode to that. It will probably be given some vague explanation and passed off as fact.
