So I haven't gotten this game yet (no money, more important games to buy first, etc) , but I saw they still have attack/def/balanced assists from one of the gameplay trailers. Have they fixed attack assists or are they still broken as hell and lead into 50%+ combos with full meter?

Also, since you can run out of subs now, is there any way to block without accidentally triggering a sub? It was never a problem before since it costed almost nothing, but now I can totally see wasting subs accidentally when you were just trying to block a random shuriken being a real problem

Block is R2, sub is L2. You Shouldn't have a problem unless you get them confused or hit wrong one on accident or something. I'm still going through story mode, so not that sure about supports since most fights in story mode you won't have them from what I've encountered.

As far as I can tell, assists remain completely unchanged from 2.

On a side note, since it's possible to completely stop someone from subbing out now, I wonder if attempting shit like this might actually be a viable strategy, assuming the characters haven't been changed much:

Substitution gauge rebuilds itself up over time. It also regenerates a little bit every time you take a hit. Good long combos are still possible though.

From what I been hearing, seems like the most broken/OP character in Generations is the Masked Man, been hearing a lot of rage about him.

he's pretty good. a pain in the ass once he awakens due to him always being able to teleport right behind you. I haven't seen anyone use him yet though aside from my friend. the most broken character I've played against is probably the oldest sasuke when he awakens and has susanoo.
awakened ninetails seems to have been scaled back a lot since two.
