    noooooooooooo way.

mcgahee is not really an option. yeah he's the #1 right now but that's only gonna be until moreno is fully healthy and rolling again. even if he does stay #1 i can't imagine his body's gonna stay healthy for the rest of the season. that and wallace is like gold.

I feel the same, I ended up trading away McGahee cause I don't see how long it could really last. But for me it was a bench spot anyway so I didn't see the downside

I have absolutely NOBODY worthwhile to put in my flex spot (options are like...Plaxico Burress, Marshawn Lynch, BenJarvus, Woodhead.) Somebody has offered to give me Victor Cruz and Willis McGahee for MY Mike Wallace. McGahee would give me stability in the flex spot, since he is becoming the work horse in Denver and Victor Cruz doesn't seem like such a bad option for a starting receiver. What do you guys think?
In case you wanted an additional opinion, the answer is HELL NO. Wallace is an absolute stud. There are very few occasions in which it makes sense to trade a stud for multiple lesser players. This is a terrible deal for you. Cruz isn't terrible but he is the #3 and might not put up another fantasy start worth performance the rest of the season. McGahee could keep the starting job the rest of the year since Moreno isn't very good, but he isn't anything special either and neither is the Bronco oline.

curious: anyone think i'm overpaying here?

10 team standard, relevant positions are 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 flex. trading sproles/gronk/mike wallace for ray rice. i've got dmc/felix/greene/starks/ridley as my other rb's, miles austin/david nelson/denarius moore as my other wr's, and hernandez as my TE rep. i pretty much expect to get killed this week with a couple guys out but i think it's fine since i'm 2-2.

    thoughts?

Alright in my other league now, trying to figure out what to do. I have Megatron in this league (other league I have McCoy). Guy offered me Jahvid Best and Darren Sproles for CJ, which leaves me with Victor Cruz, Percy Harvin, Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker and Davone Bess as my wideouts. Not the strongest receiving corps. He's willing to offer me two players for CJ, so I'm thinking of throwing in Decker and Bess (who I'd be dropping anyway) for Jordy Nelson from his roster. So I receive:

Darren Sproles, Jahvid Best, Jordy Nelson

    He receives:
    Megatron, Decker and Bess.

The flex in this league is W/R, and my other backs aren't great (I really drafted shitty backs in both my leagues this year). BJGE and McGahee are me two best backs on the team. I'm 1-3 in this league and I really don't think CJ's going to win me many matchups on his own considering the relative weakness of the rest of my team.

i don't like it. if you're gonna trade him at his highest level of value, try to get yourself a star rb. or make him pay extra for a single digit ranked player. if he wants him bad enough, he'll bite. if you're REALLY desperate then it's not the worst but i think you should try for better. if i'm in his position and i'm stacked with a lot of depth, i'd throw the world at you trying to upgrade. though he might not do it, there's likely someone else who will.

I agree. If someone WANTS (approached you with the trade) a stud WR, you need to recieve a stud RB in return plus a middle of the road, hit-or-miss type player. Seems like he's trading you 3 hit-or-miss players for a stud + 2 hit-or-miss players. That trade favors him. At the very LEAST, you could trade a stud WR + hit or miss player for a stud RB. But you need to recieve a stud in return for yours and Sproles/Best/Nelson aren't one.

His only star back is AP, which I doubt he's going to give up since we essentially just trade positions that we're strong in. I'd probably have to throw in Marshall for AP too which I wouldn't want to do. Best and Sproles give me two great backs with versatility at the flex spot, Nelson replaces Decker and aside from Andre Johnson and DeSean Jackson his other wideouts are just so-so. I just feel like I'm so far behind at this point I need to improve at more than one spot -- this trade lets me improve 2 spots for sure and most likely a 3rd one, since I doubt Decker will go on this tear all year and Nelson's a much more consistent receiver.

i was almost gonna ask who else he had on his team. knowing that he has andre johnson and desean makes me like it even less. his team would crush the league if you made the trade.

i really think you should find someone else to trade with. if you're still insistent on the trade with him, make him add desean to the sproles/best/nelson package. i think that's really the only way it can be balanced.

Alright, I'll as for DSJ. So Decker, CJ and Bess for Sproles/Best/Nelson/Jackson?

4 players is too much. I'd say Decker/CJ/Bess for Best OR Sproles/Nelson/Jackson.

personally i'd see if i could get away with it. again, if he wants him bad enough he'll overpay. if he balks, try again. i do think that it needs to be minimum best/sproles/dsj based on your lack of rb's.

alright, I'll give it a shot and renegotiate later. I'm RL friends with the dude so worst case scenario when we all go out drinking I renegotiate with him then. thanks for the advice.

you really want to go from starting mike wallace to starting david nelson? i feel like you should be getting some WR in return. i dislike this trade for you, although i do like trying to get a more predictable #2 RB since you've got a ton of potential RBs but no clear cut one really. i suppose you could try to make another trade to move greene or jones along with nelson for a better WR. idk. plus gronkowski has been a TD monster, even when Hernandez is healthy.

For me it's more of the circumstance I found myself in. Yeah I did a poor job drafting reliable backs, that's on me, but I've been up against several teams with heavily outperforming players for those particular weeks, just bad luck. Coupled with injuries and considering my record, Calvin Johnson alone won't get me more than the one win I have. I drafted Peyton before he went down so I'm running with Fitzpatrick and Flacco, I have no other real studs on offense, New Orleans D. I'm jacked in one position, mediocre at all the others. With the trade, I'd be very good to excellent at three different positions and have a better chance of rattling off a mini streak.

yeah i didn't realllllly wanna do that, but i figured if it was between two superstar rb's and two superstar receivers, i'd rather go with two rb's. but yeah i agree, i definitely gotta find a way to pair someone else up with austin.
