[QUOTE=Tweek;4840102]it sounds fun but it also sounds like it could get old just raping idiots
They are getting better...it'll be more competitive next year I guess. BUT I say that and there is no clear winner or strong team in the league. And it's a money league :D
in a 2 keeper league, rivers for newton..thoughts?
smitty not going to be there forever, and rivers isn't exactly old
yea, im big on rivers, but the homer in me likes newton lol..i'm just hopin the panthers pick up lloyd, especially now that i just picked him up in my league
I'm debating who to start in my last WR slot. Roddy White (playing CAR) vs DeSean Jackson (Playing WAS). Roddy has been injured all season but usually at least gets some points. DeSean sometimes goes games without hardly getting targeted so his scoring has been less consistent, but his big games have been better than Roddy's this season. Thoughts?
(Mike Wallace and Pierre Garcon are my other two starters).
yes, i'd do it. two reasons: if cam finishes as a top 5 QB he'll likely only gonna be better next year, meaning you'll have a guy who is one of the best players in fantasy right now potentially improve. furthermore, i get that rivers is still good but cam clearly has more per game upside.
second, you're obviously a fan. why not have a lot more fun rooting for newton who actually is on your favorite team? there's nobody really good on my actual favorite team, but for sure if there was it'd make watching my team way more enjoyable.
uh i'm starting roddy, dsj and wallace. it's rare that i'd ever bench my stars, but if you're insistent on starting garcon i'd bench dsj. roddy's thigh is getting a lot better now so i think he'll be back to normal. you should know though that bengals defense is pretty good this year and they've had a strong secondary for a while now.
I'm not quite sure if you actually got it, and I hate that I feel I have to explain this to you, but I was pointing to that being a game he gave a shit. That was the only reason I even mentioned that to begin with. But by all means stay low on Bowe, everyone is every year.
VJax is on a franchise tag, Gates is getting to be a liability lately. From what I've heard, the Oline at Carolina is awful, yet cam is having a huge year. I personally wouldnt do the trade, but fan bias causes that. I'd say anyone else would like the trade though.
Newton in a keeper league sounds awesome
I wouldn't make the trade, there will be another rookie QB to come along and play really well long before Rivers takes a turn for the worse.
Trying to unload Newton personally, I have ARodg on that team though. Thinking about making these offers, which do you guys think is better? (other guy wouldn't give me CJ+Cutler for Newton+W.Milliams(tb)... debated tossing him Graham as well but idk if he would take it as he turned down me adding in Graham for S.Rice)
Cam+M.Will for Jennings+M.Ryan (maybe Roddy White if he doesn't want to give up Jennings? he has Jennings,Dez,Roddy)
or
Cam+M.Will+Graham+Woodhead for S.Jax+Cadiallac+Hasslebeck (I have Daniel Thomas also at RB also so I don't need the scrubs and his 3 RB are SJax,Cadillac and MJD)
I know it seems like I am giving up alot but I really don't need Cam and I want to get rid of him before his ppg possibly drop off and Williams(tb) has been shit. It's a 12 team league and most teams who have weak QBs seem to be weak at RB, which is what I am looking for. Should I give up Daniel Thomas to pick up a better RB? Not sure how he is going to do going forward but I like the potential if he stops getting hurt.
Getting annoyed that I can't seem to get rid of Cam. The teams I offered trades to are all 1-4 too, you would think they would want to try something different as obviously their team is sucking.
Nah. They had a terrible preseason, then they were a lil' weak with Otah out/unfit.
Since Hang had some time to gel again and Otah has gotten his fitness back up they've been great. It's the same line they had a couple of years ago when DWill/Jstew busted out 1100+ each. Plus they were adjusting to a new system.
They've been pretty OP past couple of weeks.
Mendenhall or Starks?
starks, thell be up huge on the rams, and mendenhall is still coming off injury
For flex position this week, Lawfirm, Denarius Moore or Manningham? Normally leave Lawfirm there but his toe injury has me skeptical about the number of carries he'll be given if he plays. Moore has been pretty solid but switched him out of WR for Garcon since he's been getting alot of catches with the current Colts QB.
Ryan Grant or Johnny Knox for flex spot in PPR league? Knox has been doing next to nothing the past couple games and I kind of feel like Grant will hopefully get at least 10-12 carries with how much the Packers are going to be up on the Rams.
