Yeah I've been planning on Hernandez I'm just surprised people think it's such a no brainer.

Sigh, if only Dexter could score td's.

Got an offer that I'm mulling over:

    I get:
    B. Lloyd
    Gronkowski
    Reggie Bush

    I give:
    Colston
    Pettigrew
    and Ingram

League starts 3 WR, 2 RB, and 1 WR/RB/TE flex

I'm stacked at WR (Vincent Jackson, A.J. Green, Dez Bryant, Colston)
Meh at RB (Ray Rice, Ingram, DeMarco Murray, Ben Tate, Roy Helu, Jonathan Stewart, Dexter McCluster)

So it comes down more to a value trade -- I think the best would be if I were improving my RB situation. Lloyd > Colston, Gronk (with AHern back) > Pettigrew, and Reggie Bush isn't so terrible a flex option, so this is a deal I should take, right?

I like it. Like you said, you're already stacked at WR and have Ray Rice and DeMarco Murray as your primary backs. Seems like an upgrade in TE with Lloyd being a nice flex.

bah forums went down and ate my nice post.

i don't like it. basically, lloyd isn't better than colston. bush is a waste of space and gronk is the only upgrade you make. you need rb's, right? while i'm not super high on ingram, he's slowly been getting better over the course of the season and i wouldn't be surprised to see him slowly phase pierre thomas out completely.

i think constantly upgrading your team is the way to win leagues, but i don't feel like it's enough to justify it this time, not when you're light on rb's.

btw make it lloyd/gronk for colston/pettigrew then i'm more inclined (also cause you get byes out of the way) but still it's a gamble. lloyd will be better, just don't be surprised if his production doesn't skyrocket. it's kinda hard to catch a ball when teams are constantly chasing your qb all over the field.

Was not my intention. I was suggesting Tavaris is better than Clipboard Jesus. Better than awful !=good. The Seahawks' offense is better with Jackson than Whitehurst, and more likely to score more points.

Colston's put together back-to-back stellar games, but I don't know why I have such a soft spot for Lloyd.

Re: DeMarco, I don't know if he's the solution to my RB problems. I am pretty confident Helu will pan out given Torain's injury history, and I've been impressed with his play thus far -- and I like me some Ben Tate.

I think I might pull the trigger if I can drop Ingram out of it, just because I like him more than Bush.

I think DMM will have another good game this week but who knows after that, if he has a really good week I guess they could name him starter over Jones, not like Jones has done shit this year. I also like Torain more than Helu this year but with Shanahan who fucking knows

    There's this guy named Polamalu...
Not sure what kind of scoring system you are using. McCluster has 4, 3, 5, 3, 1, 3 in standard leagues.

I agree with kisada, I don't like the trade at all.

Lloyd is now on a terrible team with a beat up starting QB that never has time to throw anyways. Colston is getting back to being a true #1 fantasy WR with Brees looking to him often.

Pettigrew has outscored Gronk 22-11 over the past 3 weeks, so really they are pretty even.

Reggie Bush is garbage and the Dolphins are garbage. Ingram doesn't get a lot of touches but at least they are for a high yield offense.

This trade is 2 downgrades and a sidegrade imo.

points for carries or something? who knows.

anyway, i don't think it's a good idea to get too caught up in matchups. yeah it's important to an extent, but when it comes to benching your stars in favor of trash players that's going too far. even then, hernandez plays more like a WR than a TE in the pats offense. so if you're worried about polamalu, i'd be more worried about gronk who is more likely to be within polamalu's range.

yeah to add on again, the more i think about the trade the more i dislike it.

keep your WR depth. i know i was just talking about not taking matchups too far but in this case i think it matters. jackson has awful all year against tough coverage. his next matchups include KC (flowers who is really good), GB (tramon williams who is hurt but might be fine after bye), denver (bailey, name speaks for itself), jags (real strong secondary), and baltimore (whose secondary is finally getting healthy). the rest are against average defenses.

so yeah i think keep colston and run your 3 best receivers week to week. oh and reggie bush sucks but we already established that.

That's what we're here for, buddy. Honestly.. the best part of that trade is Gronk, lol.. and while he can explode since Brady loves his TE's, I just dunno if I'd give up on Colston and Pettigrew for him. Lloyd.. I dunno what's going to happen with him.
