Was only up by 26 going into last night's game. Opponent had Romo + Miles + Bailey (DAL kicker). Sounds like trouble right? Right?!

Finished the night up by 12.

Now I don't feel so bad for starting Dalton over Stafford.

Stafford was a "game-time decision" on Sunday morning. If you weren't going to be able to find out his status or couldn't get to a phone/pc to change it, then it's safe to say people put in a back up just in case.

I could march out on the field and get more points than Tebow

Iirc he practiced all week... no reason to not start him.

Staff didn't practice until Thursday and he was limited. All the news outlets said he was a game time decision. No point in risking it if you don't have to. And Tebow had more points than Romo and Dalton.

What kind of stupid fantasy football scoring system are you using where this happens?

In my league Dalton had 8.5 points, Romo had 4.5, Tebow 0.5, Gabbert -10. "Average" starting performance will net a QB around 15 points per week. I'd say that's a pretty accurate barometer of how those 4 QBs played last week.

You're in the league where it happened... Aren't you Volcanics?

The BG auction Plow put together.

Tebow had 14.18, Dalton had 13.02, Romo had 12.02.

Got it and yes that's me, didn't realize. I've been critical of the default Yahoo scoring system for years due to reasons such as this... I don't think anyone in their right mind could argue Tebow played better than Dalton yesterday and thus deserves more fantasy points.

in what leagues does dalton score more points than tebow? espn had tebow 12 to dalton's 10. i don't really see what's wrong with yahoo's scoring system.

btw, nobody would ever argue that tebow played better than dalton. but fantasy football's about stats, not game managing. in general i think some people still can't distinguish between the two, which is why people are baffled when someone as godawful can still put up strong fantasy points.

Oh you're the Horned Frog Hustlers? lol. I was scared going into last night's matchup only up 26. I looked at your remaining players and was like, that's 40 pts easily right there. I was kicking myself all day for not starting Stafford. When Stephen Jackson went off for you, I thought I was doomed. I caught a lucky (and unlucky) break from Dallas sucking.

My argument went straight over your head. My whole argument was how scoring systems that reward players for crappy performances are ridiculous. Did Dalton light it up? Definitely not, but at least he completed 62% of his passes compared to Tebow's 46%. People always argue about how touchdowns and yards are an accurate fantasy statistic because they equate to winning in both fantasy and real games yet completion percentage and yards per attempt/completion are totally ignored despite their direct correlation to success in the NFL. QB scoring in fantasy moreso than any other position is flawed using standard scoring because unlike other positions it continually fails to accurately translate on-field performances to fantasy points.

Well, in Tebow's defense (lol) he ran for 63 yards which is +6.3 points in most leagues. That's a TD + 50 yards passing in standard 4pt per TD, 1 pt per 25 yard leagues. A QB that can run has a slight advantage in fantasy points. Cam Newton and Michael Vick normally outscore Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers but I don't think anyone would argue that the former are better than the latter.

Looking ahead to next week, my WR situation is clogged...

    Pick three between:
    AJ Green @ TEN
    Colston vs. TB
    Roddy White @ IND
    Lloyd @ ARI

I'd love to flip one for a RB but no one seems to want to part with any of theirs...

I love AJ Green, Dalton loves him as a target, and kid is going to be a powerhouse in his coming years. Lloyd got a lot of looks from Kolb for his first game which is reassuring and he had a decent game. I like Colston over White because Breez is going to go throw crazy after a piss poor game vs STL, and Roddy White for me this year just isn't putting out. TLDR: Green/Colston/Lloyd
