No, we don't. Blalock and Clabo are slightly above average, the rest is average, and there is a gaping hole at LT. I shouldn't need to lecture anyone on the importance of a LT that doesn't get put on his ass every play.

I doubt it, even Matt Ryan would have probably flopped behind the horrible offensive line. It's just really frustrating to have a head coach known as one of the best offensive line minds in the NFL and have only one bright spot on that entire unit. Still though, Jake is pretty damn average in run blocking. Easily the best pass blocking LT in the game, but his run blocking abilities can be a liability at times. Sort of a waste when the team was trying to pound the ball in Jake's first few years.

Not bitching, just telling it true. Trust me, I am happy with Matt Ryan. No, he isn't Rodgers or any other elite QB, but I think with a better oline he can be a poor man's Brady. He is good enough to win us a SB imo.

also I know lolQBR and such, but Henne was playing pretty damn well early this year according to QBR and scouting articles. Y'all have bigger problems, obviously

I hear ya. Long is a beast though. Thomas is probably a little worse at protection, a little better run blocker and still a top five OT, and there's no way I'd trade him for Ryan. It's sort of eerie how similar our offenses are, Shurmur is supposed to be a big time West Coast offense guy and the passing game has been complete shit. It's not even McCoy's fault, there's just no consistency with the receivers or the right side of the line. I'll give Shurmur and Hee-Haw another year but it has not been promising early on.

You really wouldn't trade Thomas for Ryan? Even if he isn't elite he is still a very good QB who rarely misses games. There is a ton of value in having the same very good QB on your team for what I hope is at least a decade.
