I'm co confused, lol. If your defense, say the Bears.. gets a pick 6, it should be a huge boost in your point totals. Are you talking about if the other defense you're going against gets a pick 6, it wouldn't count against your own defense or something? Is that what you mean?

Say i have the bears def, and cutler throws a pick 6. It doesnt count against my defenses Pts Against

Yes. Example: Cowboys defense is shutting down the lions, has them at 3 points. Romo throws 2 straight pick-6's. They have now given up 17 points but technically the defense only gave up 3. It's still hard to really "fix" this because any turnover by your fantasy defense's offense is still going to put them at different degrees of disadvantage that isn't really their fault.

Pretty sure an opposing ST return would count against, cuz its D/ST after all. Like I said, I have the Packers so idk how that is hehe

this is my understanding as well, we use standard yahoo scoring i think i don't think i noticed it until this year too maybe a global change

Please Note: Points scored against the team's offensive unit (i.e., interceptions and fumble returns for Touchdowns, FG blocks returned for Touchdowns and safeties) will NOT be counted in the Points Allowed category.
The number of points allowed by a team defense in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football will not always match the final score posted by their opponent in their real-life game.

For example: If Oakland is playing Pittsburgh and the final score is 34-7 in favor of Pittsburgh. If the Pittsburgh defense scored two touchdowns via interception or fumble return the Oakland defense would be credited with only 22 points allowed .

A team's defense is not responsible for those points allowed while their team's offense is on the field. They are, however, responsible for all kickoff and punt return points allowed.


In Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football, scoring for the Points Allowed category in leagues using Team Defenses will include the following situations:

All TDs scored against the defense.
All FGs scored by the opponent.
All PATs (Extra Points and 2-PT conversions).
Special Teams Scoring (kickoff and punt returns for touchdowns, as well as blocked punts returned for Touchdowns).
All other scoring categories chosen within the league.

Scoring in the Points Allowed category is standard in all leagues, and cannot be modified to include or exclude points of a certain type.

I'm starting Gates for the rest of the season barring injury. He's clearly River's #1 read on every single pass play. Even when double teamed the entire Chiefs game, River still tried to force it in there. That pass interference call was bullshit but Gates is the #1 red zone target as well.

With this trade I'll probably play 2 TEs every week, but I'm ok with that I think

According to Football Outsiders GB's D-Line is 27th in the league in pass protection, though Indy's is 22nd so take it for what you will

And if you wanna use more traditional stats I think passing yards against GB is pretty high, though I think that's more because they have a team designed to outscore anybody and so many other teams are working from deficits against them

Considering benching Gates for matchups is trying way too hard, getting too cute, whatever you want to call it.

Injury is the only reason to sit Gates.

yeah passing has been easier on gb because of injuries. tramon williams hasn't been healthy all year, though the bye could have helped him a lot. that said...

play your stars. the matchup game is for mediocre players, or those who get abused by it (vincent jackson comes to mind). gates also happens to be someone who plays absurdly well regardless of matchup, best TE who does iirc

Nice. So Ryan Matthews AND Ahmad Bradshaw are both out for me in money league, Lol.

and I have Jacobs. He's a waste of a roster spot.
