I was pretty impressed when he threw half as many INT as he did all season in <1 quarter against the Steelers starters.
the way I read it, guy was saying the same thing.
but most of those guys I would draft ahead of vick still. maybe not ryan or big ben, but any other one of those guys I would choose above vick just because:
a) he hasnt proven he can do it consistently
b) he is injury prone
Does that mean he could score 500 points this year? absolutely. but thats a big downside for a big upside - I'd much rather have someone that is a bit more of a "sure" thing
Just joined the BG auction league. I've always wanted to try an auction league so this should be fun.
As far as I'm concerned, anything before last year was a completely different Vick.
I think it's real simple with Vick, if you draft him early, you have to draft a competent backup a bit earlier than you would with, let's say, Rogers or Brees
Which, in 20 man, means you're taking 2 qb's in the first 5 or 6 rounds.
A guy getting injured from a huge hit when he got smushed between two guys does not turn him into a little injury prone bitch.

are you really going to backseat mod and say this is off discussion after seeing 90% of other threads on bg? how dare anyone bring up football in a fantasy football thread, even for only a few posts. christ, it wasn't even going to be a long discussion before you walked in and was apparently offended
Fact that he scrambles often and his speed with the ball is one of his strong traits, the odds of him getting injured are abit higher than most other QBs who don't rush as often.
For example, Jeid's 12man had Vick going at #5 in the first round, which I found pretty surprising. Not saying picking Vick is bad, if he plays anywhere close to last year he's gonna be able to carry most teams, but there are better fantasy choices that are more consistent and put up high numbers and can back that production up with more than just 1 season like Vick if someone is intent on picking a QB in the first round(Rodgers was gone at 4, and there were several good RB who were picked after Vick). It's a gamble pick for sure.
