Tyr, approve the BGP trade!
Tyr, approve the BGP trade!
wtf @ that trade, 3 #1's for 3 not even worth mentioning?
rec you really should cancel that deal it's beyond terrible
Wait, who are the three #1's? It took 20 minutes of negotiating to work that out...
The money worked out really close (within $10 I think). Britt, Ford, and Williams are all #1s. I get a QB I hope not to have to start, a RB that will probably start less than 5 games on my team, and Marshall.
Looking at ADP:
Britt - 66, Ellis- 69
Ford - 119, Cutler - 127
Williams - 41, Marshall - 40
Looking at AAV:
Britt - $10, Ellis - $8
Ford - $3, Cutler - $5
Williams - $16, Marshall - $17
This trade couldn't be any more even in any scenario. The money is even, the ADPs are even. Both owners are satisfied.
Hell, looking at AAV, within $1. A DOLLAR. Ya'll are fucktarded.

Rationalization from my end: I'm getting 2 #1 WRs and the match to my JStew for my backup QB, BMarsh, and one of the several alternatives I had for #2 RB.
I'm trying really hard to see the retardation in the trade and can't see it, unless BJGE somehow becomes an every down back, which is highly unlikely. Feel free to enlighten me though
Ugh, I didn't realize how poorly BMarsh scored last year. Henne really fucking sucks if he can't get the ball to Marshall in the redzone. Still, I'm sure he'll get more than 3 TDs this year, so he should be more productive. BJGE is one of the only confusing players in that deal just because of how the Pats handle their HB situation. Cutler.. you can pretty much expect 20+ TDs, 3000+ yards (I'd say he hits around 3500 this year if I had to guess) and probably 13-15 picks.
Jacoby Ford scored a good bit of his points through special teams last year, and since special teams this year, at least the kickoff return route, is going to be a bit different obviously, so his numbers could come way down unless he turns into a better WR. BMarsh should outscore Ford easy, though.
DWill.. I hope he does well, but that O-Line is just so terribad. I guess when working out a trade, you can't really make conjecture over whether the O-Line will do well or not, but I dunno. Just getting a quick look at the trade.. it seems imbalanced even if the players' numbers (barring Williams for obvious reasons) are similar. :< I feel like Tyche would be running away with highway robbery, though.
Wait...if anything, I would have argued that the trade is against Tyche's favor...I'm putting it through.
My policy is: if the person on the receiving end of the trade can justify the trade and approves it reasonably, then I put the trade through. I've seen a lot of trades pan out that way -- like me trading more value than anticipated for Braylon, when he had his monster year.
Yeah, looking more in depth at the trade, it's not as imbalanced as I figured.. ah well.
My 2 cents on legislating trades is that unless it is a truly one-sided trade, you have to let it slide. There have been a few instances where I really thought a trade deserved a veto, only for the owner I thought was getting screwed to come out ahead.
Tyche: What is the latest on Daniel Thomas? Is he still in the doghouse? Any hope for him in fantasy? Thin at RB in my money league and relying on him as my #2.
Daniel Thomas will be great if you think 2 ypc, 500 yards, and 5 TDs is great.
you can have sammy morris
I'll trade someone![]()
There's few things Forte does poorly, goal line is one of them. Barber will get most all of the goal line carries. Thomas isn't what fantasy guys were projecting, and he never was. Why he was being put on a pedestal by the fantasy experts is beyond me. Ever since they've brought in Bush, Thomas has been pretty much demoted to being the guy giving Bush a breather. Now, Thomas will probably be better than he was in the preseason, Jake Long was out and the o-line was shuffled up in those 4 games. Still though, Bush is going to get most of the touches out of the backfield, so tread with caution, but at the same time, Bush going in the 8th round, or where ever he's going at this point, is a steal. Daboll is going to get him a lot of touches. There's not doubt in my mind he'll lead the league in receiving for RBs.
As crazy as it may sound, I like Bush for 1500 total yards and 8-10 TDs if he plays 16 games. May be a big if, but it's worth it in that late of a round.
After watching Bush play for the Saints, I can tell you that it is unlikely he will get 1500 total yard. He is a great receiving back, but he still has not learned to try to run over people. He tries to out run them, and to me it seems like he is not as fast as he use to be. Bush isn't the type to run up the middle or break tackles. He would rather try and make the corner and juke someone.
Reggie bush was also an ancillary piece to the Saints pie. They had playmakers all over the field, another very good RB, and 3 or 4 good receiving options with a QB that could spread the ball. Miami has 1 good back (Bush), and two good receivers, and if camp is any indication, they are going to throw it a ton. 75 catches for 800 yards and 700 yards rushing wouldn't be surprising to me. For better or worse, he's going to have a chance to be "the guy", which isn't something he was afforded in his latter years at New Orleans.
