This is driving me nuts, who should I start week 1?

    currently have:

    WR - Calvin Johnson
    WR - Brandon Marshall
    RB - Jones-Drew
    RB - Steven Jackson
    TE - Aaron Hernandez
    W/R (flex) - Austin Collie

    Bench: Malcolm Floyd
    Bench: Davone Bess
    Bench: Tony Gonzalez
    Bench: Percy Harvin
    Bench: Danny Woodhead

Everyone's starting Percy Harvin, but San Diego's not going to give him much room to catch shit. I'd rather bank on Austin Collie playing better at Houston than Harvin at Qualcomm Stadium. Now just struggling with Floyd vs. Collie and Gonzalez vs. Hernandez.

No I was wondering why yall vetoed a semi fair trade. Vetoing purely based on when people are drafted in a league is dumb. It autodrafted Cutler before Eli. Would I be able to trade them straight up? No.

Edit: Oh you ment the other guy. I hadn't seen all that.

I'm talking about the Jensmooch guy on there writing novels to justify a trade that the league thought was unfair. Like I said, it's not just about two teams improving, it's how it affects the league. That's why there's a veto system. Plus, he got really fucking personal on there with me.

It's not just based purely on where someone is drafted btw. Common sense plays a big role. People will tell you here right now, Amendola is not even close to equal in value to Ryan. That's the point.

I totally agree that they are not equal in value. That is why we added the running backs. I do agree that he is taking it a bit too far. I just don't understand how people tell me my trade isn't fair when they have a trade on the chopping block with me that is even more unfair than the one vetoed.

Edit: And now the new trade is getting vetoed just because.

Its a toss up for me on who I should start at my "flex" spot. My starting line up atm is:

    QB Philip Rivers
    RB LeSean McCoy
    RB Ryan Mathews (flex spot)
    WR Wes Welker
    WR Vincent Jackson
    TE Jermichael Finley
    K Nate Kaeding
    DEF Chargers

    Bench:
    QB Kevin Kolb
    RB Ryan Grant
    WR Lee Evans
    WR Marques Colston
    TE Visanthe Shiancoe
    K Matt Bryant
    DEF Cowboys

Its between Mathews and Grant, I'm personally leaning toward Mathews. What do you guys think?

They were a wash, and thus a moot point.

That's why it came down to Ryan for Amendola. Which is terrible.

How about I start Boldin for Starks and leave Wayne in, since the whole GB RB situation is up in the air.

Why is the current trade also unfair?

Mathews, he's still the "starter", and the Williams wall is gone for that game. Also, did you intentionally draft that many Chargers or was it just coincidence? lol

I personally don't see anything wrong with the current one. Disappointing he's openly saying he's taking someone just because, but disappointment can't be a reason for vetoing. In reality all that giving Cutler to him is doing is forcing him to drop someone from his team to accommodate. If I were to veto I would do it based on that fact, but considering how he's acting, I won't help his cause any

Idk, maybe I read too much into history, but San Diego are notorious slow starters, I've lost a bit betting on them early in the season to win. They gonna try and stop AP which might leave Percy open more then you're thinking.

Trade was Gore and Matt Ryan (his backup QB) for Turner and Amendola. Only thing is he could have taken Turner at 2.3 but took Gore instead and Turner fell to 2.12. So it's even worse.

It's really not that bad of a trade depending on need from either team. Unless a trade is "oh my god no" I wouldn't veto it, aka jay cutler for rivers or something

So you guys think the guy/team getting Gore + Ryan will be too overpowered?

They actually got better in the secondary this year, player wise. Lost the DC though which could make it a push pretty much. Like I said in the NFL thread, I can see AD running all over them this week, so Aragon is probably right. Harvin is definitely a better option than Collie, unsure on Harvin v Floyd

Guy getting Gore+Ryan (Ketsuri) already has AP, Jennings, Harvin, and Dallas Clark. His QBs are Hasselsuck and and Cutlet. So it's a pretty dramatic QB upgrade for a 9th round pick.

I think Harvin is going to have a big year if he can stay healthy, he's the only real target the Vikings have and they will probably be playing from behind a decent amount this year. Plus if McNabb can do even close to as well with Harvin as he did with DeSean Jackson his last year in Philly I think Harvin is a respectable WR2 this season.
