Didn't get anyone's input before I don't think...
Fred Davis vs DAL or
Jermichael Finley vs CHI
:/ I love finley but Davis is putting up more yards and td's.
ya, for real. pretty easy picks there. btw, what a luxury to have two gambles pay off, heh.
also, kenny britt makes me really angry. i tried to draft him in every single league and failed![]()
Here's one: Cam Newton v. JAC or Stafford v. MIN...
Divisional games play differently than regular matchups, and though they're not Calvin Johnson, Antoine Winfield has shut down anyone lined up across from him thus far.
And I'm favored to win in 9 leagues this weekend. Aka, I'll lose 8 of them.
Pick 3. Dez Bryant, B. lloyd, Hines Ward, Nate Burleson, Joseph Addai.... also Chargers(mine) vs KC or BAL(mine) vs STL
Thinking of picking up Woodhead from FA lists. Should I drop DeAngelo Williams, who with Cam Newton seems completely useless or Marshawn Lynch? I also have Bradshaw but he's the only one of my RBs putting in decent points. (My major pointage comes from my WRs).
Edit: Roddy White, Kenny Britt, Wes Welker, Brandon Llyod, and Miles Austin if he's playing. Which three do I choose?
If Bryant suits up, you have to play him. A hurting Felix, no Miles Austin, and Bryant towers over WAS' corners (although DeAngelo's good, Dez has him beat bad on a size-matchup).
I'd def play Lloyd -- he was supposed to suit up last week, but turned out to be a really late scratch. If your league is PPR, I'd play Hines Ward. If not, Probably Burleson because Griffen can be beat, and Vikings will roll their attention on Megatron.
And defense? Baltimore. You don't bench Baltimore D -- though SD can potentially put up more points, Baltimore will come out angry from last week's upset. Plus, a division rivalry, KC by rights has no chance...smell a potential upset? I'm still confident in SD, but still, I like Baltimore a bit more.
If you're swinging for the fences, go SD. If you need a high floor, play Baltimore.
Hang on to DeAngelo. They paid him mightily, they're going to get to him eventually. Also, don't drop Lynch either. Neither are worth picking up for Woodhead, imo. If you're desperate and hate Lynch (who might be a good play this week if you dno't want to play DeAngelo that badly), look for McGahee in FA?
I'd actually start DeAngelo this week -- give him one more shot.
And WRs -- why are you so stacked? No Miles, start the first three named. White, Britt, Welker. If not PPR, consider Lloyd over Welker, but both are fine. You can't go wrong there.
1. i'd go with stafford over cam.
2. lloyd, burleson, and dez if he's playing (addai if not). and chargers D is like easiest decision ever lol
3. def dropping lynch. dropping bradshaw would be pretty crazy. no better options than woodhead though? and playing white/britt/welker. austin's out.
If you can pick up arizona defense they are a good waiver pick up this weekend going against seattle. and i'd play cam over stafford this week. Cam is going to throw like he has been and he has looked really damn good in the pocket.
I was actually going to pick up Cam off waivers and trade phillips for some stud but I scored the most points in the first week so ended up last for waivers and lost out on him
I'm also pissed at someone in my league, I offered him jermichael finley and sam bradford for steve smith and jeremy graham and he declined....his QB is matt cassell and while bradford had a shitty week 1 he's a huge upgrade I couldn't believe he didn't go for it.
That doesn't sound like much of an upgrade at all. Especially with the Rams schedule... I wouldn't give up Steve Smith and a mediocre TE for a decent TE and a below average QB with a rough schedule. Now that I think about it, that's a horrible trade for him. At best you can call the TEs a wash and the trade would be Steve Smith for Sam Bradford... You trippin.
finley is one of the top 2 maybe 3 TE's in the game at a usually tough position to get points for. Just because he's only gotten yardage so far doesn't mean that's all he will get. he had an 18 yard td that was ruled incompleted last game or his numbers would be a lot higher. Gates got 0 points last week, would he also classify as decent/mediocre cause of one week? And, steve smith is a risk as Cam has played well and while I'm on his bandwagon it is a risk. I think it's a good trade, bradford will be a lot better as QB than cassell as far as fantasy points go. he's not even starting graham, he's starting vernen davis who is being told to block for the most part so on his starting roster it helps him at two spots.
Go with the superior talent. Finley.
Have to go with Stafford here. Cam still only has 2 career starts under his belt. Fortunately for him he has been able to throw enough to outweigh all of his turnovers thus far.Originally Posted by Tyr
I would rank them Bryant>Lloyd>Burleson>Ward=Addai assuming all are active. Ward and Addai are both very weak starts, Addai moreso because of his matchup. Have to start the Chargers against KC, their offense and team are just so terrible.Originally Posted by Omnipotent
I wouldn't drop Deangelo Williams just yet. The Panthers know they are going to have to try to run the ball at some point. Lynch makes much more sense to drop as that offense is atrocious. Austin is out for a few weeks. I would bench Lloyd just because he is coming back from an injury, making him risky. You should really look into trading one or two of your WRs for a RB.Originally Posted by pogejr
Dez and Lloyd are scaring me on if they are going to play. Lloyd FUCKED me over last week when I lost by 2 points because he was a game time nogo and I had him in my lineup. All I can do is wait till practice thursday and hope for the best
Even worse trade for him since he has Vernon Davis. I wasn't calling Finley a decent TE because of last week, so don't assume that. The trade still seems like it comes down to Smith for Bradford and that's just silly. I don't think the Cam/Smith is as big of a risk as you imply. In a game where Cam had 4 INTs, Smith still had 6 catches for 168. So even when Cam was off against a decent defense, Smith still got his. I don't see anyone with a better defense than the Packers that Carolina has to play besides Da Bears in Week 4 and Lions in Week 11. Come back player of the year is going to be between Matthew Stafford and Steve Smith. Book it!
I tend to avoid game time decisions. Especially if you aren't in a position to change your lineup right before kickoff. If they don't know if a player is going to play right up until game time, then chances are they either aren't going to play, or they are going to play but be limited or a non factor.
Hey Moss, Julio gonna have a big game this weekend?
I say not to give up on DWill yet (with Otah coming back etc and so forth) and get talked to like I'm a flaming retard homer. Two other people say it and it makes sense.
I see I see.
