I liked raising the bar also but F&B is completely different from it which is nice, more like a younger Boston Legal. (god I miss that show QQ) Four episodes so far and they seem to keep getting better, although the third is my favorite.

If game of thrones is the only reason you ordered hbo, and you are concerned about saving money, why don't you just download the episodes?

Not her but here's why I don't.

Dexter - First warning from ISP
South Park - Second Warning from ISP

Inception - They shut off my internet

Then we got internet again.

House - Letter from lawyer subpoenaing my information for a case.

So yeah, I don't download anymore and I pay for cable for shows I like.

and can't keep stressing this enough it's not about "concern for money" it's about putting my money where I actually use it. If I were a millionaire I'd still be like this, it's just who I am. I think people in general waste too much money because they never think enough about where it's really going. Part of this is my parents, part of this is from when I worked a few years at the bank and saw how terrible people were with money. I can't bring myself to be the same.

Ontopic, watched the first two episodes so far, I like it. Only thing that kinda bugs me is the character roles are kinda too much of something "too mean", "too good". But I think it's just because the show is new and if it lasts long enough they'll get into rhythm.

Just watch it on TNT's website. That's what I just did. Their ads during the show consist of 6 seconds of the TNT logo on the screen and then occasionally 1 real ad.

Also, the show is pretty good. It surprised me with the amount of laughs there actually are.

Why not keep your HBO subscription and use it to access HBOGO? Access to their entire back catalog of shows is well worth the $... Deadwood, Wire, Sopranos, Oz, Rome, etc. And catch up on Boardwalk Empire because it is the best drama they are airing right now and prob one of the best on tv period..

Hmm. I always use icefilms for downloading (which i guess goes to megaupload) and have never had a warning like that.

You won't get those warnings for using any sort of direct download from the web as far as I know, it's just P2P that will get you busted. MPAA can track P2P downloads, but they can't HTTP unless they subpoena records or some shit.

I usually stream if possible (i.e. not complete garbage quality). I know it probably makes little-to-no difference, but I'm just really paranoid. I've watched all the episodes of House, Scrubs, Dexter, and 50ish movies in the past four months. If I can get away with that, you must be extremely unlucky to get warnings, etc.

1) I used torrents. They go after the users with p2p (ie torrents). For streams, at most they would tell the website to shut down.
2) I used a public site that allowed anyone to get on and download.

I wasn't so much unlucky as stupid.

I loved raising the bar and still wish it would come back but Franklin and Bash is really good. I can't stand Pindar even after this weeks episode. But I think Malcolm McDowell is what makes the show so great. I dare say they could do an episode a day in life of Stanton like house where they did a day in life of Cuddy would be just as entertaining as a normal episode if not more. Surprisingly, i have been looking for more of his work just because he is so entertaining as an actor and his character and delivery are top notch.
