Self Haircut?

So, no one here on BG goes to proper professional hair salons?

Why am I not surprised.

Idk about you but I go to a barber shop, though I might like to learn to cut my hair myself considering I'm moving soon, or go the Odess route and shave it, but everyday seems like a pain in the ass.

i go to a friend's house. he used to work at a barbershop, but he got fired for misconduct or something, and now he cuts people's hair at home, lol. i shoot him 10 bucks, but so does everyone else, and he claims he's making more money at home than he was at the shop. i dont know how those things work, really, but i guess its possible with the amount of friends and customers he has to cut hair for

I'm sure he is since he doesn't need to pay for the rent on his chair

I've cut my own hair for a while now and most people are shocked when they find out (yeah, yeah). I've been doing hair for close to 10 years now though. Basically, use buzzers, start longer than you want it to be. You can always cut more if it's too long, if it's too short you can't make it magically go back. Use a hand mirror for the back or if you're like me and constantly use one, use your off-hand flat against the back of your neck as a guide.
