People can bump or key your shit in the best neighborhoods, you act like rich people aren't assholes or bad drivers. That's irrelevant. I live in Marcy Projects, and shit isn't even that bad. While I choose not to, I can willingly go out at night and not really have any extra fears. You can get jumped or killed in the middle of the night or while waiting for a train at Grand Central or while standing at a corner in the suburbs cause someone is drinking and driving, Brooklyn really isn't the warzone it got the reputation for in the 90's anymore.

I didn't say it couldn't be, our cars get fucked up if we leave them outside our driveway in our own neighborhood occasionally, and this is a pretty good/well lit block. Point was to expect it to happen so you're not surprised. In Manhattan and Brooklyn people try to squeeze into any parking space they can and that usually involves bumper grinding which is why if it's a crowded area I'd park in a lot to just save the hassle. Look if I just bought a car the last thing I'd want to do is leave it anywhere close to another car, we're always having to fix little dents and nicks from some prick with a shopping cart or something.

And yea Olga, the drive is a lot easier not during the rush hours. I could leave my house 15 minutes before 4 pm and get into the city in 20 minutes, but 15 minutes after 4 pm and I'd sit in at least an hour and a half of traffic lol.

As for getting mugged, just don't fall asleep on a subway car and don't sit alone lol. There's always some shady dudes riding the subways into the bronx.

I use to live in a shitty apartment complex in the Bronx. First grade at St. Margaret Mary's. This black chick in my class stuck pencils in her nose and my dad got mugged one time. Those memories are the only ones that stand out.
