Saw no thread for the recently released movie "Bad Teacher" and I just went to go see it today and thought I've give my opinion on it.

This movie had a lot of laughs. Seriously, I didn't go more than 5 minutes without laughing at a stupid remark/joke/act.

But outside of the laughter, this movie served no other purpose. The love circle between the gym teacher(Jason Segel), the bad teacher(Cameron Diaz), the random "hansome" rich teacher(Justin Timberlake) and the obsessed with perfection good teacher(Lucy Punch) was absolutely bland and felt like it was put in the movie just so the jokes could have some contexts, which weren't even needed to make the jokes funny.

The "surprise" twist at the end felt just that surprising, because the whole movie keeps pushing one thing to happen and in the end, that thing doesn't happen. Even though it's obviously not going to happen and it would be more surprising if it does, it failed. Usually, imo, surprise endings are good but this one was a complete letdown because it wasn't surprising because the ending that was pushed through the entire plot would have a more exciting ending. It "Humanized" the bad teacher in a way that her character didn't progress through nor deserved.
(I'm well aware this paragraph looks like an oxymoronic rant and to put it simply, I should have said, just expect the opposite of what you're expecting, if that makes any sense)

Pretty much, it's a laugh out loud movie that will leave you feeling empty if you pay attention to the plot instead of the jokes. Summed up, it's a brainless comedy.

And that's why I won't watch it. I'm not being snobby - I've watched Blades of Glory which is not exactly highbrow, but it was hilarious with a plot.

Bad Teacher (from what I've seen of a trailer) looks funny on the surface but the underlying story scares me. She's a crappy teacher who somehow gets away with keeping her job, dresses like a slut, wants to get a boob job to date a rich guy and probably triumphs over that rival teacher at the end. No thanks.

I saw Knight and Day on HBO last week, it was okay, the car chase scenes in Boston/Spain were legit but otherwise not anything to write home about. It was like a PG-13 version of Shoot Em Up, in that every gun fight had some ridiculous stunts but w/ out the dark humor or Clive Owen being bad ass.

This was alot funnier though lol

Her not getting the boobs and her ending up with Segel. She played him throughout the whole movie and obsessed over getting new tits to attract a man to take care of her. And considering how much of a bitch she was throughout, her getting the tits and the rich guy would have made more sense because let's face it, the ending would NEVER happen IRL.

Do you not understand how tropes work? It was obvious she wasn't going to get the boob job from the beginning, It was obvious she was going to end up w/ Segel from the start (the trailers also spammed the hold my yearbook/hold my ball sack scene). Jesus Christ, if you think this is a plot twist ending, what did you do when you saw Seven/Sixth Sense/Fight Club/The Usual Suspects? lol
