Far from 13 and have been through enough relationships to know including relationships while living in other countries, the friendship idea never works, cause one side still has feelings and only creates complications later on for atleast one person if not both. I mean if I am ending a relationship, why do I want to continue to be friends with her? If I didn't like her enough to stay in a relationship, what good is maintaining a friendship without sex? Innately males and females are not very socially compatible.
Clearly there was something between the two of you to cause you to want to enter the relationship and stick with it for a while. Just because you're not ideal for each other in the end doesn't mean you cannot share the things that you do have in common/like about each other in a lesser capacity known as friendship.
Yeah she was hot and the captain of my college cheerleaders for one instance. After months of dating, realized she was a complete moron, the sound of her voice made me shiver and she lacked any form of original though besides telling me what she had for breakfast, lunch or dinner that day. I understand your reasoning, I am just stating my personal experience, like an ex that I stayed civil with attacking a girl at a bar I was talking to, because she still thought we would end back together. So to save from future bullshit, I found it easier to metphorically blow the bridge up and walk away when it ends. I mean each to their own, sorry if my opinion and preference came off as preaching, wait no not really sorry.
Wow strawman much? One example does not equal the population, but I will leave it there. Not trying to argue, was simply adding some observations from my personal experiences. I give you props for being able to stay friends with exes, I personally prefer clean slate with no strings to the past. Each to their own.
Haha, atleast I am not hanging around trying to be friends with a girl that dumped me, hoping I can somehow swoop back in when they next boyfriend fucks her over and gives me my shot, or dreaming myself to sleep thinking she will soon recognize how much I meant to her. Shit ends, it ends and it ends for a reason. But I do love how you generalize my overall demeanor by how I end relationships. Anyways, late to happy hour and the start of a 4 day weekend, maybe I can find the next ex to stick my dick in and then be a total asshole too.
And Happy 4th to anyone celebrating it, have fun and be safe.
I never said snooping was to be equalled with cheating did I?
You wonder what's worse? For me it's abussive behaviour, destructive behaviour, or unreliability. Things that cause long term, severe demage in any area of your life.
Last winter I fell down the stairs. My ex who I lived with and had been together with for seven years, a person I trusted would be there for me, let me get home on my own, even acted in an angry way. I was shaking, shocked and could hardly walk. I had a giant bruise on my arm that I could sqeeze and I didn't even feel it. I was clearly in a state where calling an ambulance would have been a reasonable choice, despite the fact I said I could manage. I had to stay home for 1½ month after that, ended up getting pulmonary embolism and nearly dying. I would have much prefered he fucked a nurse in the ER room while waiting for me.
I couldn't agree more.
It has absolutelly nothing to do with hiding things. He can ask whenever he wants, however, don't expect me to let my bf read about my friend's problems. He's not the only person that's important to me in my life.
Lucienne, there's a difference between snooping for no reason and snooping for a reason. If you catch your man going through your shit, you confront him about it, and he has a damn good reason for suspecting you aren't being truthful or faithful to him (even if the whole thing turns into a huge misunderstanding, or say you're planning a surprise party for him or whatever) are you still flying off the handle and ending shit?
This bitch fell down the stairs and blames her ex.
If this is the first time it happened, I would tell him I expect him to respect my privacy. I would make sure he knew how I felt. I realise people have different ideas of what you share in a relationship. I didn't open bills adressed to my bf, even if they concerned both of us. If he wasn't home, I would call and ask if it was ok. I expect the same courtesy to be paid to me. If it happened again, there would be no reason in the world that could make me stay.
