3 was much much much better than 2 go ahead and give it a watch. I agree with you that 2 was a completely horrible movie and they are lucky it didn't kill the franchise and Cruise's career.

As for this one, that trailer was awesome, I am excite.

3 was the first one that JJ directed (to reboot the franchise b/c of how awesome Alias was) and coincidentally he had to leave to start working on it right after Lost got picked up for a season giving the show to Darlton so MI:3 holds a special place in my heart cause of that.
