So i finally got an invite. Seems exactly like facebook. Google map is part of +. Circles is just like groups for FB. At this point, seems to be an exact clone of FB.

There isn't a BG circle thats not how it works. its not a linkshell


You have to manually add people into your circle.

It's like twitter in that you can follow whomever you like by adding them to any of your circles... but when you post something, you can easily control who sees it based on how you organized your own circles of contacts.

Also, people won't see how they are organized in your circles, it's for your eyes only. Feel free to put them in the "annoying asshole" circle if you don't want them commenting on your shit and never include that circle in your posts.

Also, there's nice little options on the left of your stream that filters it down to specific circles.
