So it looks like they're sticking to their guns regarding some of the changes to the game they've decided to make.

I'm kinda worried EnMasse is going to throw the baby out with the bathwater if they continue this trend of "alterations" or mess around with things too much ("westernization?") to the point where TERA is unrecognizable. EnMasse really needs to present more information regarding the topics they decide to talk about so that we get a better understanding of it.

Am I just being paranoid? Ugh.

Until they change something in a real negative way, I'm gonna keep a positive attitude towards this company and their decisions with TERA. With their GM responses and customer service, I've yet to have any reason for alarm.

So~ I sent in a ticket asking about changing my subscription plan to lock in the pre-launch subscription price and we'll be able to change it before launch.

"The Manage My Subscription tab is where you will change your subscription information and billing method info. Again you should have the ability to do this prior to Launch and access to inaugural pricing."

Only a month and a half till launch!!! Squeeeeee~

Edit: On another note, every time I go to the official forums I feel like I'm losing braincells. I keep going back though, hoping for some news or whatever... but I always just find whiny children...

I wish they would designate a place where people can set up shops that's out of main areas. This way it wouldn't bog down people's machines who didn't want to bother with them, but the option would still be there for those that would like to take advantage of the little shops... Or perhaps even put in a bazaar type system so people could sell stuff like in FFXI. Again, with designated areas for people to do so.

As passionate as I am about not having a x-server dungeon finder, I'm really hoping it won't be game breaking. After playing WoW in cataclysm and putting myself through hundreds of PuG groups, x-server dungeon finder is like hell to me. I could go on and on about my perceptions of it, but in all honesty, I probably won't really be effected by it THAT much. I'll be playing with several friends and family, so if we don't have a full group for whatever we're doing, there should still be BG members that we can bring along that would like to join us. The chances of us actually needing to take advantage of a dungeon finder seem pretty low at this point... but still, time will tell.

I think I'll be playing TERA for quite some time, and unless they do some incredibly stupid game breaking changes, I still think it'll be a great game. I'm having mad fun every beta, and have been following TERA for a while, just waiting anxiously for it's release.

Personally if they enhance the AH and make it better, then I don't really care about the pets.

But who wants to bet they took the pets away so they can put them in the cash shop at a later date as a vanity item !!

If their intent was to consolidate the market, it doesn't make sense to even designate a small remote corner for pet bazaars. What confuses me the most about the decision, though, is it cheapens some of point of the vanarch system. Wasn't the whole point of taxing to be competitively fighting for popular local market locations?

But eh, either way to me, really. It was a little inconvenient to tab through the pets to find various x-tier items for enchanting, and the few that set up in the small towns basically miss out during anyone's personal buying frenzy.

This game will never be WoW or Rift, so the more they westernize it, the better. The last thing I want is to feel like I'm playing Trickster or RO when I hit level 50 and realize that a single kill gets me .000000000003% of my next level. The only intrinsically "Asian" theme a game needs to have to succeed is tits and ass (bonus points for catering to the loli market), and TERA provides those in abundance. There hasn't been a single change between the Korean version and the NA version that I've been dissapointed with. If the Korean version was so outlandishly amazing on its own, it would have blew up far bigger than it did in not only Korea, but in Japan as well.

Cross-server DF is what'll bug me if they just rip off WoW's system, since it cheapened a lot of WoW by just automating your warp to the instance, your group, and the quests relevant to it.

If there was a 'gathering stone' or something outside of each instance you could use as your queuing means for cross-server, then I might be ok with that since it'd still encourage bringing your own group over.

Cash shops are to MMOs today like paid DLC is to stand-alone titles. Its an inevitability, but the implementation of them is what will piss off customers or "please" them.

I imagine any cash shop in Tera will be full of optional items, perhaps character goodies or other misc things. Spend your money if you want, but not a necessity.

I'm super out of it and just woke up. Is this saying that for those of us who dropped 5 dollars at gamestop to get beta codes on the regular edition (because they didn't offer CE yet, do they even yet?), we can change it later on to make it so if we get the CE edition we can enter it and still get our neat stuff for CE?

No, I was talking about the SUBSCRIPTION, how much you pay month to month. And I didn't order from gamestop, I ordered directly from them. Currently the "manage your subscription" button says "coming soon", and they're offering slightly lower month to month pricing when you buy 6-month/1-year subscriptions pre-release date. I was just double checking with them to make sure that I would be able to switch it, so I can save the 10 bucks or whatever off of the 6-month plan since I selected 1-month recurring when I ordered from them.
