Armell you only wanted to help him cause you bow could only kill those low levels
Because BGs sucked so much, no one did them. It took a massive week to fully cap your self on obsolete PVP gear that spamming R1 dungeons gave you better gear anyway. They're revamping PVP gear from BGs while in hopes of adding different objectives to BG as well, rather than a derp 5v5 10v10 spawn killing arena.
Hahaha. I am 99.9% they meant Final Boss, since Final Boss is notorious for getting GVG points off ganking lowbies, but I'll take it.

EME has posted another hot topic !
This time Enhancing and Luxing changes !
What do you all think ?Hello, TERA community!
Over the last few months we have been working on a lot of changes to make TERA better for our audience. Some of them have been implemented into the game already as seen in our closed beta test patch notes. But we have more improvements coming our way and among them we have some great news to share with you on enchanting and unsealing systems!
Improved Enchanting
Certain items can be enchanted in TERA to increase its effectiveness. The change we will be implementing is the removal of the chance that an unsuccessful enchanting attempt will decrease the item's enchantment level. This means once you earn that enchant level it is yours to keep. In order to offset this change we have introduced 3 tiers of Alkahest powders: one for enchant +1 to +6, one for +7 to +9 and one for +10 to +12. Obviously the cost of powders will be increased at each tier. Our goal here was to keep the cost for getting these items similar but remove the frustrations that random numbers can cause and let you keep what you have already earned.
Improved Unsealing
In TERA, you can receive random attributes by unsealing an unidentified item. Then the item can be re-sealed and unsealed again until you receive the attributes you want. We are adding the ability to ‘lock’ the desired attributes earned from Identifying Enigmatic items. This lets you change the attributes you choose while letting you keep the ones you want. You can repeat the process until you receive all 3 or 4 attributes you wish. This should help eliminate the frustration felt of getting that exact combo you want on your items.
We will be sure to update you with more information as they become available and we appreciate your feedback. These changes are the results of the feedback we've received from you and we encourage you to keep sharing your thoughts!
Hello easy mode. From cash shops, to improved EXP gain rates, to dumbing down enchanting and crafting. orz is what I think.
To me, it's actual, measurable progress, on your gear, vs winning the mega millions lotto. Loss of frustrating RNG /= easy mode.

Don't know if that was a serious reply, but log into K-TERA and lemme know how many people's weapons are not glowing. I had more mains in KTERA with capped weapons than people have characters period. Wasn't hard at all if you put time in.
The fact that they didn't change the way enchanting is made, but made it risk-less and free is the problem.
That's like saying Nidhogg should only drop N. Legs and E. Bodies, and remove the chance at no good drops. The fact that your LS had a slew of E. Bodies meant something back in the day. Regardless of the ghetto LS going 1/2 on double E. bodies or not. That shit was RNG as fuck back then, but we dealt with it. Was the same for me in K-TERA with weapons.
I think its more akin to saying that Nidhogg would take your loot if you lost to him. -That- would have actually been pretty badass, and would have helped to foster a sense of "true" pride if your LS had him on farm status, assuming they legitimately claimed him in the first place. The fact that your LS had a slew of E. bodies meant that someone (or many) in your LS was botting to get claim, and nothing more. We'll leave FFXI out of this, though.
I'm not anti-hardcore, but I'm not going to feel bad when things are made easier that don't involve actual skill as well, either. Crafting involves no skill; you push a button, literally, and RNG handles the rest. If it becomes less of a pain in the ass to deal with, I'm not going to complain about it. Just don't touch the difficulty of encounters, unless you're going to make them harder.
You're sitting in a good spot anyway, Foxer. You play K-Tera, so you can make like all the old folks that cry about how everything was harder in the good ol' days, which makes it better by default. You should savor that.
Agree w/Kachi. All the enchanting breaks in Aion did was frustrate me to no end. Nothing like spending 60m+ to enchant something to +14, only to fail on the last one and bring it back down to +10. Its a positive change and anybody who is screaming easy mode needs to get a brain. these two changes are pure RNG and have 0 to do w/ skill. it's not even a hardcore mentality to want to have the RNG in place, its just liking painful and stupid game designs.
it's akin to the XIV players thinking XIV is a perfect game and shouldn't be changed
thats nice. but this isn't a Korean market... and most ppl are not like you and do not share in your mentality for terrible game designs
I'm not as arrogant or conceited as you may think (believe it or not). I tend not to compare myself to the new players cuz we're all the same shit in the end, playing the same game, so it's all good.
Topic at hand; I knew an enchanting change was coming. I was just hoping for a more complex, or at the very least, more immersive/time consuming system. It seems like they got a bad system from K-TERA and removed all the risk, if you know what I mean.
That I agree w/, there should be some change if you don't lose levels on breaks. Even if they made the % of success much lower (w/i assumed they did anyways), another element to being able to enchant would be nice
I have no beef with you, but you do come off as an arrogant know-it-all. Its no big deal, though; this game is your passion, and that's cool. I know exactly what you mean about the enchanting changes, but I feel that they're going to continue to play a safe strategy with TERA's world launch, at least until they get a feel for just how successful its going to be. I mean, think about it: you've got D2 coming around the corner, GW2 waiting in the wings, plus the new WoW Xpac coming out at some point. I don't think they want to follow a SE-headed strategy of trying to make things needlessly punishing or complicated, but they probably don't have enough time to do any kind of serious revamp of any core crafting systems at the moment.
Perhaps we'll see something in the future.
Another thing to talk about is the second half of that quote.
You're now able to lock whatever stats you like in armor, and reseal the rest, making it infinitely easier to get perfect stats. In my honest opinion, only one of these patches should have been implemented.
Wow holy fuck, those changes are AMAZING. Spending like 4-5m gold per attempt in Korean version just to make sure my +8 didn't downgrade was frustrating me to no end. BOTH OF THOSE CHANGES ARE AMAZING.
CASUAL.
