Only seen up to lv 38 questline stuff but...!
Its "mostly" solo, but it WILL lead to a point where you need a group to do a 5man instance to progress. Also by around lv 38, I had 1 "requires 5 people" BAM quest.
Although it was Lv38, and recommends 5... me (berserker) and a priest solo'ed it (took about 10min since I was the tank+dps). Hardly took damage at all (berserker block prevented all damage, only took a few hits during its enrage mode).
Unsure about the "low level content reference" your mentioning... are you talking about... the tutorial stuff they want to add? Or do you mean "once you get high lvl, why would low level area's even matter".
Well, some (I know I will) be lvling multiple characters, so yeah there will be a constant influx of people in low level area's.. HOWEVER! There are advantages to starting a new class...! For instance, since your "bank" is tied to all your characters, you can dump good gear for your next class, or gems... and have millions of gold available for your next class.. or potions (like the 75% hp pot 100% stam buff + damage/tank buffs etc), socket gems, enchant fodder, a +12 enchanted weapon waiting for you at Lv 22.. etc etc
lvling a 2nd, 3rd etc classes will be alot easier/better experience.
thought those kaia binding things were only for "instanced" mobs, not for "world quested bams" if so.. dam i should keep those things, maybe I read its description wrong .. but if so yeah its all soloable (cept the 5man instance ones) to lv 38
I used one on the story mission in the desert zone by the ocean on that big honking BAM, dropped him down to a regular type, he still hit pretty damn hard but I was able to cut him up pretty fast so I think it worked. As far as what i've read they are for any story BAMs and just make them not drop any loot or give exp or something.thought those kaia binding things were only for "instanced" mobs, not for "world quested bams" if so.. dam i should keep those things, maybe I read its description wrong .. but if so yeah its all soloable (cept the 5man instance ones) to lv 38
Not sure what thread this belongs in, but for anyone looking into getting a Naga mouse for TERA or any other MMO, Amazon has it as their Gold Box Deal of the Day for $56.99. For reference, I bought mine on Newegg a month ago for $64.99 and that was the best deal at the time.
Naga is a must have for this game. I played without one at first, never again. I have also turned friends on to the naga for TERA and they all now swear by it was well. No exaggerations.
I couldn't stand my razor mouse when I bought one. The feel/grip was just wrong (I'm used to the G500). Is the naga very close to the others in terms of design?
What kind of binds do you put on the buttons? I find I can put everything I need (so far) on 1-6, F1-F6, and alt+ version of those same buttons.
Uryuu made me buy a naga, probably the only good that has ever come out of him. Allows you to keep your fingers on WASD during combat, which in my opinion is invaluable in a combat system that requires constant motion.
Has anyone used both naga mouse and a controller for tera? Which do you use, and why? And, if applicable, were there any specific types of binds/setups you used that really affected the decision?
I use both. Naga mouse/nostromo for mystic/berserker at the moment. Controller for lancer. Love both for different reasons for different classes, mainly controller for lancer because I can set B as my block and Y as my shield counter which I can hit on the fly and it feels really good. Can't stand using mouse for lancer because I hate having to hit the button twice (sometimes up to 4x if it doesn't register) for shield barrage. With a controller it just feels normal.
The mouse for mystic/berserker lets me set skills in a much more organized way to hit on the fly. Overall for me it's personal preference like this.
i kept mine default 1-0 and top row is ctrl+number
Can you use CTRL+Naga buttons? Do they just replicate 1-0 (or whatever) so anything that is CTRL+1 or ALT+1 is the same on naga?
Bought a naga just for this game. Best decision ever. The only things I ever touch on my keyboard are 1, 2, 3, WASD, and tab.
