Sorry but he's wrong. You can see the red flag by the compass in the video above. Vanarchs might be able to turn PVP on or off in those zones though, I'm not sure. You do get tokens for PVP gear from Nexus....

I've also been to a few Nexus' in KTera. You run around to the blue rifts, kill a couple trash mobs and the first wave of trash elites spawn. After those are dead you get one of three BAM and Super BAM combinations. The rifts turn red when the Super BAM is spawned.

I would probably be wise to not speculate about rift's PvP status basing ourselves on the korean version. After all, if there's one big difference between the different versions it's PvP.

EME made every area from lv11 onwards open to pvp and could've easily decided that rifts should be pvp nodes as well.

If you asked me, I'd leave these areas open for pvp. It would be the go-to place to pvp groups until battlegrounds come next patch.

Well some people would like to accomplish the task at hand (killing Nexus mobs and BAMs) during the time that it's active, since iirc it's not going to be going on 24/7; not everyone that plays on a PvP server is going to be apart of a super-duper large guild.

If OWPvP is enabled during Nexus events, it's just going to be the Velika event from CBT5 all over again: no real coordination from the individuals showing up for the event, with large gank guilds rolling unhindered through the masses, steamrolling everyone since they're already busy with BAMs or other shit, and then moving on to the next group to repeat ad nauseum.

No, it would create a huge amout of people whining to the developers that they can't get anything done, and they'll eventually cave and change it anyway. It's not going to turn into great PvP for anyone.

To get to the bottom of this, I decided I'd send a ticket in to support to ask about whether Nexus events would have OWPvP or if they'd be safe zones and pretty much got a "we can't tell you" response. Heh.

A duel lol? The sword is for BGs. I have friends in KTera that constantly get their Guild zerged during Nexus and are unable to participate. Sounds like a safe zone to me though. Like I said before it may have to do with Vanarchs.

So what's the difference between BAM and SuperBam? I assume it's kinda like NM and HNM? Is there anything obviously different other than a fuckload more hp and hits even harder?

I'm just gonna say this once and drop the topic forever: I don't think you guys really want open world pvp.

If there's pvp during rifts, I'll be there getting my ass kicked or fighting back with whoever decides to take the better side.

If there's no pvp, I'll be there pveing my pvp gear, since that's where it's going to come from.

And if the heat becomes unbearable, I'll move to a pve server or stop playing if its fun point is past.

Players can now explore the prologue tutorial of the Island of Dawn. Players will enter the game as a level 20 character of the same class and fight alongside the members of the first expedition. Players will receive quests to execute and explore the combat system. Upon completion, they'll land on the Island of Dawn as their proper level 1 character.

Archer

Eagle's Eye has been added. It slows archer movement by 20%, increases Strength by 50, increases PvP damage by 20%, and uses 10 MP/sec.
