New Stuff
Added additional hair colors to the following races:
Humans: red, orange, yellow, green, blue
Castanics: red, orange, yellow, green (Castanics are never blue.)
Elins: red
High Elves: red, orange, green, blue
Modified the alkahests used in item enchantment. Unique alkahests are used for specific tiers of enchantment.
+1 to +6: Alkahest (sold by merchants)
+7 to +9: Refined Alkahest (sold by specialty stores)
+10 to +12: Masterwork Alkahest (sold by specialty stores)
Removed the inter-server party-matching buff, the Valkyon’s Response reward, and the Rescue Supplies. Grouping is its own reward.
Destiny Eggs and Lucky Eggs have been removed as quest rewards. The eggs were the primary source of combat consumables until the alchemy crafting system was complete. Any eggs earned in the Open Beta Test will still be there.
Gula Skinners in the Hungry Caverns no longer spawn minions because that’s not how they roll.
Items from Balder’s Temple and the Fane of Kaprima are now visible via smart search.
Deleted the unnecessary “Subscription Information” menu from the main menu.


Bugs Squashed
Fixed a bug where certain surfaces appeared to flash, glow, or appear dark. We don’t want any flashing in TERA.
Fixed a bug where channels on the Island of Dawn increase infinitely.
Fixed a bug where guild-versus-guild battles could not be declared on guilds with names longer than 32 characters. Your awkward battle cries will save you no longer.

The official forums had a lot of raging over the eggs. One of my favorites....

"This was a terrible change, this basically makes everyone need to do Alchemy to level. Even if I'm not limited to what professions I can do, I should not be forced to do any of them."

I'm not gonna lie, my rage level over the removal of eggs is pretty fucking high; I liked finding free Unglyphs, high-tier Alkahest, and Intriciate Identification Scrolls (among other things I may be forgetting) in my Fortune Eggs.

Couldn't they have just removed potions from the list of things Lucky/Destiny eggs can give and call it a day?

What exactly did they change about alchemy?

No eggs kinda pisses me off too. So just tokens for completing suppression orders? Are they still gonna make me check that I want tokens after every completion?

So I very briefly toyed with crafting. I got everything to 150, but really didn't do much beyond that. What materials are required to craft pots? I think I saw you can make both HoT as well as instant ones for each level range. I'm curious which ingredients I should be saving for that, and which I can just buy from NPC.

Primarily, gathered materials of the range you would expect to need. Also, a SHIIIIITLOAD of crap items from the npc. (At least when making purple regen/instants.)

Hm. I think alchemy/focus was almost all crystal essences? Or all four base materials (essence, ore, plants, hides)?

Alchemy takes everything, throws it in a cauldron then goes: "Here try this. Let me know if you crit harder or sprout and extra eye."

i prefer my potion of making me look less tasty while reducing my aggro.
costed around 1-2 gold to make 6 pots

If I remember correctly, alchemists need plant salve and essence salve (don't ask me how essence salve makes sense) as intermediary materials to make healing, mp, or holism elixirs. These salves are made from a raw material (like wind essence) and an vendor material. Combine the salve with a different vendor material to make the actual potion. Its really not that expensive, just takes some time.
