Just downloaded the game, but Jagged Coast is full. >_> I was really looking forward to playing with you guys. Is there no way for me to get on the server until the population dies down?

If not, is there anyone else from BG who's running on a different server? I don't really know anyone else who has the game...

Server xfers just went live so you might want to wait a bit and see if some room doesn't open by tomorrow/the day after.

depends if you want PvP or PvE. BG is PvP, but there are other guilds w/ BG forum members on PvE servers

Same thing happened to me. I have friends from BG there plus a real life friend. Kinda bummed I spent the $50 but can't play with friends so I'm just waiting for more space to open up I guess. Kinda pointless to play an MMO without friends. You should just wait it out if you're patient.

Is there a site that explain what the stats mean and the associated formulas? For example, does +2 crit mean +2%? And strength, endurance, and balance are kind of self-explanatory, but how does the math actually work out in the game engine?

Looks like Jagged Coast just crashed, and by the look on the server list, its the only one. Dunno what's up.

Also, just noticed that its still full along with VoT. Nobody's going to Feral Valley? It hasn't even hit medium population yet. If people don't start migrating, EME is going to do something drastic.

I have somewhere the formula (or rather, something aproximate) to calculate damage according to attack and defense. It was rather simple if I remember correctly and it's really easy to figure out with some simple testing in a duel.

Defense is calculated based on endurance as you obviously likely know by now. It works like this:
Total_Defense = Gear_Defense * (1 + (endurance - 50)/100);

In other words, each point of endurance over 50 increases your defense by 0.01 multiplier and every point under 50 decreases your defense as well. If I remember correctly the only class with negative endurance is berserker, which has I think it was 38 endurance, thus a 0.88x defense multiplier, making their defense actualy lower than the gear they wear.

Knockdown rate and the oposite, balance, has a similar function without the offset. I can't get in game, so I can't recheck those. Either way I don't know how they relate on actual combat as I haven't bothered doing any experiments.

And finaly, attack is calculated in a manner and I couldn't figure exactly what the deal was. There's two kinds of damage and they give strange results.

That's as far as my friend and I got before we got bored of testing and moved on. If anyone has anything else, do tell.
