@Avarice: And I think that's why Korea will always have a tough time securing a solid foothold in the NA market, no matter how pretty the graphics look or how much T&A they throw at the player. T&A doesn't make up for Korean grind mindsets, and TERA is feeling the result of that. Hell, a great combat system (which TERA has had over fist) does not make up for Korean grind mindsets. You saw it with AION, and TERA is a far superior product than AION, but you're starting to see it here.
The people that don't mind the grinds will stay, and I feel like the game will be profitable enough, long enough, for it not to be an issue, but for every one thing TERA did that was fantastic, there was a teeth-gnashing reality that countered it. The outright lies about PVP didn't help, either. I feel like the people who played the Korean version and loved it, did a better (and more trustworthy) job of advertising and hyping the game than the actual devs ever did. Especially here on BG, we had quite a large crowd of people hyping the shit out of the game, all of who played the Korean version and obviously were fine with the systems in place.
I'ma still play for now, but I can understand why people have left.
