New mount in k-tera cash shop. It's in RNG bags there, although after EME's public apology for the gym bags, I suspect they will change them when they come here to be bought straight-up.
Edit: Forgot to add the picture in. >.<

Closest you'll get to an admit with PR. If they said oops flatout, they would have to fix it.
I was considering resubbing, I'll just wait for F2P to hit the west I think.
edit: oh I just read the cash shop items and alkahest bit... that's rather unfortunate
Both BHS TERA and NHN TERA announced today that they will be switching to the F2P business model. They will still have pay by month option for those that want it, but from early translations, it seems they pretty much reached over to the P2W side of things. TERA E.U. and N.A. should make a similar announcement early 1st quarter 2013.

Have been waiting for this to go F2P, really hoping Enmasse is allowed to change the rules and not offer the game as a pay to win model
Probably just gonna offload my account and walk when they change over, I've been playing on Chronoscrolls since they came out, and would have unsubbed months ago otherwise. The P2W format they're going to does absolutely nothing for me, stuff like MW Alkahest being a cash shop only item is pretty fucked up. I'm sure they'll have things like MES in there too, and I wouldn't be surprised if they sold enchanting/masterworking booster items and nerfed the base rates to sell them. The game is already a virtual casino, they're just going to require you to put real money into the slot machine now, and fuck that. Though I suppose people already do that buying/reselling cash shop items, but that's not nearly the same.
That and all the new content seems to be large group oriented. If I want that, I'll have my LS in FF ARR. Tera's appeal for me was the ease of just grabbing a few friends and jumping in to do stuff without the hassle of organizing a bunch of people. I'm sure the changeover is far enough away for NA that ARR will be close to launch by the time it takes effect anyway.
I'd honestly rather see a F2P model like some western games have. F2P is basically a glorified free trial, and if you want to really be functional you pony up cash and basically end up with a subscription game. That's something that can bring in a lot of new players and revenue without alienating existing players.
Well thats starting January for Ktera, feburary for jtera.. wonder how long for natera O_o
Well my subs been free since 1 month into P2P tera, and will be I'm sure well after tera goes F2P for NA... (one less payment to worry about in the future woo)
TERA EU made a recent response to this as well today.

”The Korean version of TERA is going f2p which is the next big step for them. Please understand that it is too early right now to talk about this but we will have more information for you about the EU version in January.”
K-TERA and J-TERA announced going F2P today. From that official statement from EU it pretty much seems they will be announcing the "updated" model in January... since it is too early to talk about it now. I think we will get a similar announcement in January.
Would make sense, there was an announcement about "big changes" in 2013 that precluded them from setting up the cash shop in EU. I'm sure the higher ups at EME/Frogster have known about this for a long time. Non-KR territories gearing up for F2P as well may also explain the increasing delay at which we get content from Korea.
With the recent trend of many MMOs going F2P I really hope upcoming titles reconsider their payment model. B2P or something more along those lines would be welcome imo.
No reason for an MMO to launch with or retain a sub model in this day and age.
^ I still feel like people say that only because the sweeping majority of them wind up "failing" in the P2P market. I'm sure there's still a MMO out there that can run F2P and easily hold a million subs; they just have to stop making such flawed products. TERA is a very, VERY flawed product, fun combat and fap-bait aside.
Good to know that they aren't outright dropping support for the game, though, as its pretty fun.
