My proxy diedI might be done playing as well, can't seem to find another one that will work
TERA JP launching august 18, 10am
and TERA JP OB shuts down in ~2 days
yeah seems all proxys are dead, VPNtraffic still works though as long as your system is Japanese.
Any reason why they chose Lv58 as the current cap? Seems like an awkward number to cap at. So can't wait for US version, but at the same time, I don't mind waiting so it can fill up more with content.
^Lvl 60 isn't live yet in Korea iirc.

Looks like EME won't be at Pax, instead they are going to have a open house at their downtown Seattle office on Aug. 27 from 3pm-7pm. Scapes did say they will reveal as-of-yet unannounced game feature at the event.
I'm personally disappointed, I am heading down to Seattle to check out PAX, to bad I won't be able to see what EME is up to.
I noticed the only people that are allowed to go to the open house are TERA-Online.com users and you have to write to EME to get a ticket.
Can you imagine them showing up at PAX after pushing back the release basically 6 months? 90% of their time would be spent quelling questions about "why" and staving off rage.
I'd kill for a chance at the open house.
I'm sure they won't be letting anyone with an opinion attend
So after playing JP open beta, I feel the need to play K-TERA and was wondering if you guys still had a guild running in it, and if so could I get in it when I get it all set up?
Hit 25 and send me a whisper.
Cool, gonna get my account tomorrow and dl the client, any specific class you guys need or should I just play whatever?
Play whatever you like most. Take an entire day to try out all classes before you make a mistake!
Fox are you still playing without a VPN? Been thinking about getting a gamecard and playing a bit again.
Nigga, fuck VPNs! I run that shit now!
I just get a little paranoid when I think about resubscribing because I'm afraid I'll get banhammared for not having a korean ip.![]()
There's been quite a few people starting in the past month or so. I think they got a taste of JOBT and some started due to the delay. Haven't heard of anyone getting the hammer yet.

TERA Japan went into the Open Beta phase and according to the numbers revealed, it was a resounding success. The highest number of players recorded stands at 48,624 on Open Beta day. They had to create 3 emergency servers, 2 PK and 1 non-PK, to be added to accommodate the numbers.
For now, TERA Japan will open with a total of 10 servers, 7 non-PK and 3 PK. With the Destruction of the Beasts content patch.
However, fears from industry watchers still stand once the game goes commercial.
TERA Japan topped other titles including Continent of the Ninth (C9) and Phantasy Star Online 2 which is no easy feat. However, following the internal turmoil back at the Korea HQ, the announced pricing plan for TERA Japan for its commercial phase stunned part of the gamers as well due to it's high prices.
NHN Japan must have high hopes for TERA Japan to apparently announce this price plan. Also affected is the negotiations for finding a publisher in China. During ChinaJoy 2011, People were genuinely stunned when Shanda Games did not announce TERA for the region. With Blade & Soul bound to gain more momentum in Korea and China over the next few months, there is much to worry about indeed.
Another big concern is the huge bot/Rmt population shown in Tera Japan. Many Japanese players are upset over the bot/RMT populations. So Hangame Japan has decided to crack down on the population. In the last 13 days 2095 accounts banned along with 2,654 IP blocks.
But to ease concerns, NHN Japan seems to be going all out in terms of marketing to lure gamers to play TERA (despite the hefty monthly fee). Around 1300 stores in Japan will be having TERA posters pasted on their shop fronts and DVDs on sale.
NHN Japan has announced its official commercial launch to begin on 18th August at 10:00 hrs, 2 days after the end of the Open Beta phase on the 16th. With that, a pre-commercial launch campaign has now begun. From 12th August to 17th August, players who subscribe for the game will get the following discounts and freebies:
During the same promotional period, users who purchase the 90 days package through the online payment channel, WebMoney, will be entered into a lucky draw. 10 winners will win 30,000 worth of WebMoney points (lasting 360 days in TERA subscription), 20 winners will win 15,000 worth of WebMoney points (lasting 180 days in TERA subscription) and 100 winners will win 7,500 worth of WebMoney Points (lasting 90 days of TERA subscription).
Now we just have to wait to see if Japan Tera is a success. In the meantime check out the Tera Japan website (quite impressive).
