    06. Lack of content (ties to in-depth content and endgame content).

    10. Too easy to level up.
    11. The ! click NPC quests.
I'll go over these with current KTERA answers, skipping the ones that aren't worth answering/don't apply to me

    1. RMT adds? in my entire time playing I've never seen an RMT add in game ever(think i've been playin 8~9months now) I have however seen a fuck ton of RMT
I do know there was massive bannings of accounts server wide a couple of months ago, and there's A LOT less RMT around now, whether or not the demand for gold has died down with the server population or if they're on top of banning now who knows, but it went from a 2:1 RMT:mob ratio, warp hacking/movement hacking in every channel in some areas to only 1-2 RMT total across all channels in those areas now

    4. I've never actually even thought about whether or not quests are boring or fun in TERA, to me they're just an easy way of leveling, but yea I guess if you look at them they are boring, kill xx/xx mob > return to npc

    5. the continued tears of RNG of TERA lol, personally I don't have a problem with it, I always see people cry about their bad luck and yea it sucks at times but so what, that's what gold is there for, to spend
I laugh when I see people cry about spending 5m unsealing the stats they want, or complaining they had to spend 50m getting a +9 wep, hell it cost me 80m+ to get the stats I wanted on a staff, and 160m+ to get a luxury on a pair of boots(having said that I've also gotten 3 luxury in 10m)
I can make around 100m~ a week in TERA and if there was no unsealing/enchanting RNG, my gold would never go down then people would be crying about inflation, gold isn't hard to make if you know what you're doing

    6. this is about the only beef I have with the game, and obviously it's a pretty big thing, but personally I'm willing to wait around for it and enjoy the game until it comes

    8. they actually changed this for KR about 2 months ago, level difference doesn't stop drops now and you can essentially get golds in a lvl 26 dungeon as a lvl58 char, xp still drops the higher the gap though

    10. ok I lied, this is the 2nd problem I have with KTERA, fingers crossed it's adjusted for NA, but leveling is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to easy, TERA has such a beautiful world and it's a shame entering a new area doing a 2-3 quests(10-20min) then leaving and repeating that in the next area, simply because you're following the storyline, and following the storyline only takes you to certain parts of each area, so there's a lot you miss out on unless you're doing the NPC xp quests(like the old days)

this also makes the lack of endgame more of a problem, too easy leveling, people experience everything too fast and become bored at the lack of things to do, if they had have kept leveling progression like before, it probably would have lasted a little longer in japan before people started getting bored of it

    11. lol

#10 drives me nuts. I have experienced the decrease in exp it took to get from one lever to the next and it makes me sad. The original pace seemed just fine and never once did any of my friends or I think "wow this is taking forever". Like Frisk said; this game is so beautiful that you want to hang around in new areas and places just to enjoy them. Blowing past a spot too quickly is such a waste

Note: The only leveling curve I've experienced changes on was probably 1-15ish or so. Still, the drop of exp it takes to advance during that time was quite noticeable.

Thanks for that list; it sounds like the traditional problems that affect the average modern-day MMO. I was a little taken aback by the RMT claims being number 1, though. I figured that in a game with such fast-paced leveling, people wouldn't really have a reason to hardcore RMT or buy shit from RMT, but if there isn't a lot of end-game content so far and a metric ton of RNG keeping people from advancing in gear, it makes sense.

Lvling isnt that fast paced imo, XIV has way faster lvling. Last time I played TERA I was actually getting sick of the grind, remember that I had to do a dungeon like 20 times to get 1 lvl in 40s.

@FriskUni: Thanks so much for taking the time in reading my lengthy posts. And even more so for putting out a list for K-TERA.

    1. That is actually very nice to hear that K-TERA has no ads and RMT has died down quite considerably. Then if NCSoft is on the case, does that mean that NHN Japan was just incompetent at their job or inadequate because of the lack of protection tools/software that K-TERA has? I have no idea just wondering.

    4. I enjoyed the questing in J-TERA so I was ok with it, it was well polished so no gripes there. And it is nice that there are enough quests out there to have options for people to level besides just straight mob grinding. Same with SWTOR, I don't think I have grinded at all through mobs alone, just quests.

    5. Yeah no comment on the RNG but I see where you are coming from.

    6. Yeah I hope they add some more in by the time it goes live here in the States.

    8. That is actually very good news, glad to hear they changed it.

    10. Pretty much in agreement there.

    11. Yeah I was laughing as well that they actually had a problem with this. Silly slanted eyed people.

@BG Temp: Yeah pretty much. For the people that complained that the leveling process was too quick, they felt that they were missing out on the game because the current area was "phased" out and they were 'forced" to move to the next area. They felt they were missing out on half (or more) of the content and were not able to enjoy the environments/scenery because things moved too fast.

I feel the same way when I go to Disney. I tell my friends or my mom to put a shotgun behind my head and tell me to run as fast as I can through the theme park and try to enjoy as much as I can with efficiency as priority number one, all whilst they are yelling: MOVE FASTER OR ELSE! NO TIME TO LEVEL UP! GO TO THE NEXT RIDE! But I digress, yes I understand where you guys are coming from. Hey... can I collect that adorable plushy huggable Eeyore? /Shotgun clicks.

@Lucavi: No problem! Yeah I am hoping that #1 and #3 are not repeated here like in Aion and J-TERA. I hope that #6 gets fleshed out more. And yes I hope the RNG gets a bit more lax by the time the game goes live here. And yes I know I am using the word hope too much. It may lead me to the Dark Side.

So uh, is anyone playing JP version? Made a couple accounts to take advantage of the free 40 hours until February. Made a char on Kirian to level with a friend, but he won't be on for a couple hours.

Downloading the JP client, it's at 45%. What server did you roll on?

sounds like you're talking before the XP was changed, iirc quests/repeats got a ~30% increase (across the board?) XP per level got an average of 10% decrease, mob HP was lowered (therefor faster XP) and you get rested XP once you have a char at cap/when you're logged out in a town for more than 1 hour

I don't really have a problem with the rested XP part, because you actually need a char at max, but when you combined it with already fast leveling it means you miss EVEN MORE of the game the 2nd or 3rd or 4th time around etc

If you could see most/if not all of the game/world had to offer the first time then had to see slightly less of it the 2nd~ time, then it would be fine but unfortunately that's not the case

Do you have any idea how to use a controller?

Edit: Apparently it doesn't like 360 controllers (neither do I, but most recent games are compatible with it right off the bat), luckily I still have my PS2/USB setup, works great just wish I knew how to read moonspeak so I could map it properly.

Double Edit: Oh WOW it also has a setting for a 360 pad.. how interesting, found the options. I love this fucking game.

People talked about XIV's lack of endgame and how it sucks.

People talked about TERA's lack of endgame and how it sucks.

Really hard comparison to make. The only difference is that when it comes to XIV people lose their shit and when it comes to TERA we all need to be patient little boys and girls.

    Fucking lol.

From what I've seen from videos and read, Tera is actually playable. FFXIV fights your every attempt to play. Every aspect of the game is broken. I don't think the two are comparable.

Yeah, except whether the game is good or playable isn't the issue or reason for comparison (nor the only comparison you can make).

Wow is just as difficult and annoying as Lineage 2.

They both allow you to make characters, thus comparable.

    You're right, derping is fun.

Are you intentionally being dense? Or is this just how you are normally?
