man wtf! i was just at gamestop yesterday asking if they could preorder the CE. Of course they announcement is the following day... time to go back and switch from SE to CE...

I gave in and bought the digital copy, without realizing I had 2 pre-orders at GameStop. Lemme know if you get any sort of code or confirmation from a worker about CBT access please.

I'm curious how they are doing this too, with char creation and name. Unless its some sort of variance as an option if enabled from open beta. Lame if it just means "as implied with headstart."

The preorder bonus is only through the En Masse website and the Collector's Edition is only through the 5 current partners below. You can reserve one name per account. So make it count! Yeah I think you get to keep progress during the entire beta period, but after that I am pretty sure it will be a wipe. J-TERA open beta allowed you to experience the World up to level 38. I doubt EN Masse is going to want a bunch of folks in the 30's or 40's (depending what the level cap is in beta) at release. Considering PVP, Politics, etc. I am almost certain it will be a wipe.


The only thing I see that you can keep is one name per account, so far. Ah they just updated two minutes ago that the name reservation will occur before the April 19 open beta date.

I remember with Aion if you didn't get it digitally you were screwed out of early access, I don't want that to be the case with this game. ; ;

Found this rather interesting as well. It seems that going to the store if you're interested in all the goodies will grant you CBT access as well.

With regards to Insufficient Privileges Error - Can't Download


The "TERA Download Not Available" error message will display in the launcher on log in for the following reasons:

1. You have not been invited to the specific beta test you are trying to access
2. You have been invited to the beta, but the servers are not up. You will not be able to login, patch, or download outside of the beta test hours.

Codes were only guaranteed before the 10th on their Twitter, so no single date has been announced yet.

@Palandiell Our goal is to wipe before open beta. We hope to keep player's characters after open beta and will update if this changes.

This is nice to hear. Figure out what I want to play during CBT, then start my main during OBT.

For everyone who will be participating in the CBT, I'll be handing out temp guild invites to WB, to whoever's interested. I'll be doing 48 hr sessions every single CBT to help out whoever needs it. Server won't matter, as it's most likely a hybrid ghetto PK server, and if anything PK will not even be implemented in such low level cap.

I'll make a thread about this later.

Sounds good, I'll need people to play with to pick up on how to play a pro-healer. This looks like the one game where healing will remain fun longterm. What's generally considered the best healing class? Also, are racials powerful enough to pick a race based on them?

Racials will not affect anything. That, I promise.

I rolled Elin Priest and it was more than sufficient to consistently heal raid parties. Mystic is just as good though. I can't think of any real advantages one would have over the other not not want to play with X class, and always prefer Y class.

That's good to hear. I hope they give the option to start leveled characters in the later beta phases so you can see what they are like at cap before you create the character you keep.
