So they somehow messed my account up, I imagine it's cuz I changed my email on the account between the FGT and the new site. No email for mees, so operation submitAticket has the green light. You have 3 days for success, EME.

Awesome thanks for the info Senji, Foxer and Shassira. Yeah that pretty much alleviates any problems with server merge. It is a pain in the butt when companies do this process. It usually takes them months to actually act on it, and by that time they do, the damage has already been done. Low population servers has always had a negative cascading effect on players. I'm glad they are taking this route instead. 70 channels you say? O: I don't know what the current size of the US client is, I have not downloaded it yet!

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked before... But...

How does one try out this beta? I would like to try it out and shoot the shit with BG people but part of me feels like one cannot simply download it.

^ The beta this weekend is CB1 so there are only a few ways to get in at this point:

1) preorder the game, everyone who does gets a code for all CB tests
2) Have been a previous tester or contest winner/
3) Have submitted your email and be lucky enough to have yours drawn. I beleive EME only drew 1000 new/random emails for this first test.

Edit: I am assuming EME will draw more names as each CB test comes along, so you might get in then too if you are simply going with route #3. Eventually there will be OB and everyone can try it out.

As soon as Amazon starts giving out beta keys you can just pre-order from them and cancel before it ships if you don't want to buy the game. Amazon doesn't charge until it ships.

I believe you can also get into the beta by signing up for a free trial of IGN Prime, get the key, then cancel. I've read about people doing that to get in without having to pre-order.

Is the BG guild open for everyone around here? I've never actually joined a BG guild for any of the games I've played, but I'd probably be interested.

I can confirm the IGN Prime method. I got my beta code, registered it with my EME account and promptly canceled my IGN Prime subscription.

The IGN Prime code is only for the 1st Closed Beta...
Don't know if they'll give out codes for the 2nd one or not.

I think you need some form of payment to enter, either credit card or paypal, but you can cancel it before the trial is up and you won't have to pay anything.

um... if u got it from en masses you should be able to click on "my account" "my games" and download the launcher...

just did this myself, however, never got any sort of beta code. not on the invoice or in an email so far. is just DL the client enough?
