In Texas any and all fireworks are banned, because of the drought. I'm sure people will be shooting their guns in the air instead.

Oh please, that won't stop anyone. Fireworks are illegal here in nj, and yet the last two nights, i heard them going off for at least 2 hours. Which is about the same as every other year.

This morning I walked about 5km, checking culverts on hwy 1, looking for IEDs. Then i came back and I slept. I have another day long mission tommorow.... listening to avenged sevenfold and thinking about my buddies who won't be coming home.

Nothing too special planned here, just a cookout with my family and my brother's gf, then relaxing the rest of the night. The rich neighborhood next to mine always does extravagant fireworks shows on the 4th, but since I'm in Arizona and the monsoon rains didn't start until just last night, they weren't able to get the permit to launch and they got canceled.

Well, I got up this morning, had a huge bowl of cereal, downloaded some new music, and played 19 holes of Safari disc golf with some cool people. Right now I'm listening to replay sets from EDC Vegas on Electric Area and about to mix up my first drink of the day to warm up for the huge bbq and fireworks show at my uncles house later, and see a lot of my family that I don't get to see except maybe once or twice a year. Pretty kick ass day, and always my favorite holiday every year (especially this year since I have the whole week off!)

Its been 100+ degrees everyday for over a month, with only one day of rain. Everyone's grass is like straw. Sea world and Six flags cant have a fireworks show either.
