FFXIV crashing at Start button...

Hey guys, my friend Fitzy is really having trouble with his FFXIV. It ran perfectly the last few months, but after he had to reformat his PC the game won't run anymore. Direct X and Nvidia drivers are up to date, I am running out of ideas...

Does anyone have any ideas what could fix this?

Might need directx 9, https://www.microsoft.com/download/e....aspx?id=23471 , since it's not completely given to you with directx10 update.

add: nvidia driver is up to beta 275.50 atm, so could give that a shot as well.

He installed direct x 9.0c and still nothing.

The solution is to uninstall FFXIV and consider therapy to ensure they never play it again.
