48,624 concurrent users started OBT in Japan alone. Korea has borderline 100k(below) concurrent users.
To get a better idea, the JOBT has the same amount of players logged in at once, as the entirety of FFXIV had when it peaked in it's world wide release, and considerably more than the KOBT did. People consider this failing though, since there's more successful shit to compare it to, but it sounds like good news to me.

Obviously the users aren't going to stay at a 100k concurrent users a pop as time goes by, but you gotta remember, this is a game that hasn't come out in America, or Europe. That's another 1.5-2 billion people to target, vs the 180 million total pop in Japan and Korea put together.
Also; WHATUP, ELIN?
thanks, puts it into a more realistic perspective.
This news sounds really good to me, and like you said it still has 2 different areas to target yet which might boost the numbers even more. I wouldn't even say the numbers it has now are really that bad in terms of saying that it's "failing". I mean it depends on what it's compared to I guess, but comparing it to any game released a few years ago during a market time for MMOs where not many were around seems silly. To get a better idea, the JOBT has the same amount of players logged in at once, as the entirety of FFXIV had when it peaked in it's world wide release, and considerably more than the KOBT did. Feel like I'm pulling the number out of my ass, but it seems like 90% of the playerbase rolls female chars haha.
I have a feeling that pic is of an Elin gathering or something. Believe it or not(at least in Korea), there are plenty of male characters running around.
This showed up today.
Spoiler: show
I love me some trash mobs.

Really enjoyed my time in J-TERA. Tried Warrior and loved it. I had a chance to try a couple of other classes, but I didn't have enough time to level them up as my main.
