there's actually 13 KR servers, it was 12 until they added in the NON-PK server so now it's 13, anyway

I might be slightly off on some of my updates, but over the last ~3months rested xp was introduced, average of 10% reduction per level across the board/mob HP reduced, so yea a lot easier to hit cap during that period, so obviously people are going to be doing endgame fast

now they did add 4 new dungeons during this time period, however 1 of the dungeons is purely for glyph upgrades, which is probably the most useful dungeons of the 4 that they added, 1 NOONE does, coz the gear is garbage, so that leaves the 2 others, the latest 2 gear isn't bad but if you're going for THE BEST gear, the 3 dungeons added with destruction of the beast are still better, so depending on how you look at it that's 1 new dungeon that's worth doing (unless you want new dungeon jewelry)

so basically people are still spamming the same ~3dungeons added in 8months ago, with the addition of the new 20minute dungeon
so it's no wonder they lost a lot of people, 8 months with not -too much- worth doing is a pretty big hit

1-2weeks > cap
1-2months > capped gear
> quitting player base

depending on how much they add with the feb update though, the easy leveling might not be a problem anymore if they add in enough to do/keep people busy

Thank you guys so much for the quick responses! And thank you for the breakdown of the current dungeons and what each offers. Sorry I asked in the Media section, but you are the only folks I go to for information. I hope the official forums gets back up and running again soon (and more important: information).

I am really hoping tomorrow or sometime this week we get the full details on what the Collector's Edition will bring. I'm sort of anxious!

That looks like the error I was getting before I enabled Japanese as my Display language.

If you don't have Windows Ultimate or an older version of Windows that will allow you to change your system to Japanese, download Vistalizator. It was mentioned a few posts ago in reply to me asking an alternative way to run Japanese than what that guide was showing. Vistalizator worked perfectly. Grab it. Run it in compatibility mode if for 7, if you have 7 and assuming you have SP1. Grab the Japanese MUI from the site as well. When you open Vistalizator, click Add Languages, then select the file you downloaded from there. If the first attempt to install it through Internal fails, try again but this time click on the "Mode" to switch it from Internal to Express. It might give an error, but it should work. Switch it to Japanese, then let it restart your computer. Then you should be able to play.

Oh, here. Have the new, cuter, Archer. The more I played my Berserker the more I hated her face and realized she was ugly. This Archer also proves my previous one was ugly.

that message says no gaijin(seriously), it's connecting from outside japan error, so it might be your region settings/proxy?

also by the looks of that picture you might be able to use your 40hours after the event ends as long as you've made your account before the deadline, well unless they erase it, but in that pic it says you've got 40hours of time on your account, so if it's anything like korea, you should be able to have 40hours of actual ingame playtime before your account is inactive (I might be wrong though)

yeah my problem was even though i set windows7 to japanese, it didnt actually change anything. even with the language packs. guessing its a windows7 home premium thing. but vistalizator worked and i'm running around.

gotta say i am liking the layout, gameplay and look of this game so far.

Hmm, you're still able to play? I figured that it'd let me use the free 40 hours even past when it ran til. I tried logging in just now and I'm getting some Japanese message and it closes the launcher and redirects me to the TERA webpage. I still have 26 hours left. Sad face.

Was mostly directed towards Eddard who said he was "running around". Was curious if that was current.

Was going to try out Mystic if it still let me play today. Oh well. Atleast I know I do enjoy Berserker and love it's AoE possibilities. Archer was fun, but man do you get hit hard if you get hit. Their AoE shot where you actually have to "scan" over the targets takes some getting use to, and their slow trap has a HUGE range.

*crosses fingers* Here's to hoping for Beta.

Oh, I didn't get a screenshot(because my textures once again exploded in the main city and they refused to render) but I did see an Elin with the ram horn hairstyle and fox ears/tail the other night in the main city. I'm not sure how she did it. I'm going to guess that it's a bug on the character creation screen. I noticed when previewing some of the higher level armor it would sometimes bug the hair out while keeping the ears/tail you had selected. Know anything about this?

Oh, missed a screenshot from this morning and when I was playing with Amani character creation. I liked so many of the hairstyles for them. Most of the ponytails and the pulled back spikey ponytail. I ended up taking the screenshot of the double ponytails although I'm not sure I like it as much as the other I had originally. I really like some of the extra face options for them, as well. I love the bright green eyes on the one in the screenshot and there was another with pretty blue eye shadow.

And.. blue striped stockings on my Elin! <3 Wish they went up to her thighs though.

I was under the impression as long as you claimed your free 40hrs you could play past the 1st. However, they had maintenance today and if i'm not mistaken should still be going on for at least another hour. I could be misunderstanding their post though or my ability to do math could just be that bad

Seems so. I google translated it to make sure and looked up the current time in Japan. Looks like the servers are down from 6PM til 11PM EST. That might explain my inability to log in, or it could truly be over.

Yep.. that error that was popping up was from the maint. Logging in now to create a Mystic to try it out.

Tried out Mystic.. didn't get all that far. Was no liking it as much as I liked Archer/Berserker. Just got bored with it rather fast so I went back to playing my Berserker. I got a bunch of random tells from someone while on my Berserker. I have no idea what they were saying but I just ignored them and went on my merry way. >>;

Thanks for those shots Frisk. Nice to see AA/AF support. Seems media has sort of slowed down a bit. The good news is that Tera In Twitter gave an update saying that they are giving out the beta test schedule this week. Hopefully it is the complete schedule. Well not enough High Elf, so here we go! I wish there was a way to change the bust size down a bit (maybe in the future). Yes I understand its a fantasy game... blah blah blah. Boo to you.

Been playing the JP trial for a while now with a friend and have tried several jobs. I cannot vouch for the longevity of the game, but I can for its fun factor. Really entertaining, even with the almost cripling 400~ms latency we play with.

I played the JP Beta alone and finaly made a friend join me for the JP trial and I must say this game is much more fun with company than it ever is alone.

I wonder what emote she is doing. I just realized this week that there are quite a few. There is even a heart shaped emote! The only one I knew during J-TERA was /dance (cause it was the only one that worked in English).

By the way how hard is it to get this set (below)? I love the angel wings and the star!

Call me crazy, but I think the wings are meant to be a Phoenix. Look at the phoenix-like tail that is stamped on the dress as it goes down on her legs.

I think that makes it better
