So happy GW2 won't have a subscription. I'm not a cheap bastard, but I hate paying for two online games that split my attention. I played TERA quite a bit at PAX a couple years ago and I knew I would play it along side GW2.

Love the screen shots. Can't wait to get into the game powered by a pair of 7970s.

It's all personal preference. In many cases, I prefer human females over anything else. Mainly because of how natural/pretty they look, without being over the top sexy/cute. Not to say they're not sexy.

Lanky mid section indeed though, but it looks good with the armor they wear. <3

That's what I was thinking, essentially "oh they look fine they just don't look as ridiculous as high elves / castanics". I'd just never seen any real good screenshots of them because everyone plays the aforementioned races. They are quite pretty, if I don't end up playing a Elin I will probably play a Human for my Sorcerer/Mystic. Something has just always seemed off about the female elf body to me, can't put my finger on it, and well, ew castanics.

So I saw one of those rock crab BAMs today. I decided to hit level 20 before I attacked it. Well.. the fight didn't last long. One of his specials hit for over 2k ... lol.

Curiosity killed the cat... girl.

Hah, I like to call those "Troll Spiders".

So many people are going to die to it during these preview events

Will be fun to watch.

With a healer it's not a hard monster though, can easily be duoed. Regardless, it's a fun fight and the spider moves all around that area, going over (and killing) other monsters, hitting the trees, etc. It's fun.

He's was just sitting there in his ball this whole time I was in that area. Atleast, he was there for an hour or so. I actually just went to see if he was still there, but it seems to be gone now. I figured I would die, I just wanted to do it for the hell of it. My first death.

Yes, it's static and passive. I meant it moves a lot when you actualy fight it though!

I suspect this spider will be many people's first death.

"Oh, look, a big mob. TERA is so easy, I'm sure I can solo this". Thus the name Troll Spider.

I had seen a blue one the night before in the first field you come to in that zone. Same map as in my screenshot above, but to the west next to the first town in that field of bucks. I believe it was a Sorc fighting it at the time. I think he did better than I did, but no latency and being at range probably helped, lol.

Just died to what I believe was a BAM for my red quest line. One of those big fat buddha looking guys. It had one of the symbols next to it's name. I was doing fine, as in I wasn't taking any damage.. then he smashed my face in. Would love to be able to actually get some group play in, but that will have to wait.

Anything that big is usually a BAM, and yes, that's sounds like a Kuma mob for a group quest; should be labelled as such in your UI. IIRC, you also need to kill one for the Story Quest for that zone. Story BAM quests mobs can be soloed, if you use one of the bombs you get from repeatable quest turn in rewards. They severely weaken the mob and increase the damage you can do to them.

I know several folks have wanted to see more Human pictures, but it is sort of tough finding the good ones (especially large ones to fit a 23-25 inch monitor). Of the 2 major sites I visit, I would say close to 90% of them are not high resolution (I guess most Asians don't have computers fast enough to run everything at max settings). The other reason is that when it comes to female Humans, Asians tend to place the "duck face" look on them and ends up looking just horrible. I'm part Chinese and I have never made the fish/duck face look. I don't get it. I'll make 2 posts. First post is mostly pictures from mid-range machines.

If you can, try to play TERA Online on a high end computer! It is very rare to see high resolution Humans (like the one I posted previously in the frozen lake with the slightly dorky look). Soylent Green = Green Lentils made of Soy
