Yeah I didn't even think about it like that at first. I didn't realize it sped up the animations for everything. I was thinking it only affected your main attack speed. That 8% that was on my lance was VERY noticeable. Stacking haste up seems like it'd be awesome for keeping hate and your mana up. Right now with some bosses it's hard to get a normal attack off to generate mana before I have to put my shield up again.

Not sure I'll be making a Lancer first, but I can imagine what that much haste on Berserker would be like...

From what I understand it cuts the time it takes for every animation to play out, causing a universal increase in speed for everything. Might be/likely a bit wrong about that though.

I don't think it affects charge skill charging time (I'm assuming this since there are glyphs specifically for reducing charge time), but I could be wrong.

From what we could observe on my friend's sorc, the charging is not affected. By charging I'm refering to when a bar appears and it fills up the longer you keep the button pressed.

The start time of skills and the recovery time of each skill is affected though, so basicly as said before, attack speed would be better called "animation speed".

It affects everything. From skill animation, to charging speed, to continuous attacks.

Guess it's a good thing I'm gonna main Lancer then; I loved playing Paladin in FFXI and love tanking in general.

However, I think my first alt will be Mystic too...

I kinda felt bad that I got it as +3 while all the DPS were raging trying to get to +6/+9 for theirs. When I first got it I was kind of "meh" about it until I was told what all it affected. Then seeing that video.. wow, heh. The side by side comparison REALLY shows the difference.

We're all going to be haste whores, aren't we?

As for what class I'm rolling on release, I'm still not sure. This is the first game I've been baffled on what to start as. I normally go DPS and roll a Tank and Healer later, but everything is so fun to play. Maybe it'll depend on what we have come OB/Head Start. Everyone seems to be switching classes around so I'd like to make sure we have nice even groups to level together.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of people like me are playing completely different stuff than we'll play at release. So far in Beta I've played Warrior to 30, Berserker to 30 (did I ding 30? I'm not sure...) Sorceress to 28, and Slayer to 25. I know 100% I'm going Mystic for launch, it's just trying to figure out what else I want to play.

as for race choice... I dunno... if theirs alot charter slots.. maybe.. both of each class! O_o

I've been trying a different class for each beta. Really think I'll go with Lancer on my main... probably a Warrior and a Slayer at some point down the line. As for race, stuck between a Human male, Castanic Male, or a raccoon Popori named "The Coon". Joking aside (even though I may do it to see if they actually make me change my name/delete my character), the Popori are really cool. A lot of the game's artstyle is appealing imo.

can already do that swapping around files, renaming them etc, just.. not really easy/fun/simple way to do it, may take... a long time to do >.>

Imma stick with priest but probably male Hume instead of a hot ass blond. I had my first random guy try to hit on me and my fucking char name is "shepardisadude". Felt weird man. Also plan on raising a berzerker up for that pvping fun
