Wouldn't surprise me. If they can't even give archer a dagger due to how the armory system is set up that's a pretty awful engine.

True enough. I'm sure we all have a good idea of just how fucked they are, but its still nice to see them fighting like overwhelmed Ashigaru in a in a warzone.

At the end of the day 1.18 was hyped up to be something big to look forward to (to justify the 3-4 month wait) but it's nothing. It's going to make the game less playable due to the gap in levelling methods they mentioned with leves being changed for solo play. This could mean server populations dropping even lower than they are now until 1.19 or 1.2 is here. So what's the point of working on this content for 1.18?

They should have just said "Wait until September, we'll go straight to patch 1.2 with everything we've worked on". 1.18 is just going to make people force themselves to play to experience a dungeon while hating everything else about the game. Eventually they'll get bored of the dungeon too and quit. SE just can't release content fast enough.

In all seriousness, we really are beta testing this game until they decide to start charging a monthly fee. If you're not looking at it like that, you're going to have a real hard time. Honestly, pretend that the launch never happened and that we're just in a $50 open beta where our characters won't get wiped upon "launch."

The trouble with that line of thought is that launch did happen, and it got slated in the media, meaning the chances of new players starting is smaller than if it were really a beta we paid into. And with server populations already being small, well, I'm sure you can see what the problem is. Just as much as I hope they can sort out stats, levelling methods, and dungeons, I really hope they have given thought to how to attract people to the game once it's "fixed".

I'm not talking about the game's future commercial success/failure, I'm talking about his personal feelings about playing the game where he's constantly frustrating himself with high expectations. We are literally testing this game until they decide it's good enough to start charging. Possible influxes of players is a whole 'nother story.

Until then, there's not much to expect. Hell, it might even be a strategy of theirs to take as long as they're taking to let the media floppage fade from most people's memories (and top-10 bomb lists) as much as they can... and then advertise it as a "re-launch."

So someone told me some JP magazine got to do the new dungeons and did a review on them, claiming they are super hard. He told me its posted on the forums, but I can't seem to find. Anyone else see or hear about this, or is this guy just full of shit??
