(And how much STP do I need w/ and w/o sam sub? >_<)

Thanks for the ppl who answered with some gear sets, gave me some pretty good ideas. Can anyone answer the STP question, though? I'm still missing some gear, so might mix and match some stuff for optimization until I get the rest.

What does Ebon light do?

Dev team Q&A says that Ebon enhances ALL lights. No exclusion of gold/silver.

AE would have to be martial knife or magian TP bonus knife, and I would imagine whatever the job can equip for jobs that can't use those (i.e. PLD).
For sanguine, probably INT/MAB magian sword? Don't think that one would be much worth the effort, though.

#1 Only if your overall attack value is almost capped/capped. Even then the double attack on it would probably still beat out 5 dex or agi.

#2 Personal preference, before I got Twashtar I would use twilight knife because the tp drain on it would proc enough for me to be noticeable.

54 total Store TP for 5-hit with Ukon, 31 total for 6-hit. With /SAM you need 39 and 16 Store TP, respectively. That doesn't take in to account WS set, though, so you might want to aim for a higher number so you can wear fewer Store TP pieces during WS.

+10% dmg swd would probably be better for sanguine blade. At least brewing

For Ukon I tp with 30 STP and ws in 12 STP in gears when not /sam for a good 6 hits set up.

Strategy for getting colorless souls? I'm debating just doing /shouts for T3 abyssites @ 200k each or something; is there any other way to make this trial not terrible?

Work on t3s in altepa since hes probably the easiest to camp, + offer to buy souls from people doing T3s and to buy peoples T3 abyssites. People generally charge 500k on our server for T3s in those areas. Sometimes people are generous and will pop the T3 for you for free, if they dont just offer them gil. 8D

The limiting factor for Souls is the T3 pops obviously. As such, it's either going to cost you time in popping and converting T2s, or money in buying out people who aren't going to use theirs. It really sucks that those things are bottle-necked so harshly. If T2 conversion was 100%, or if they simply added MORE T2s to each zone, then it wouldn't be so bad.

In short, no, there's no real way to make it suck any less unless you have lots of gil and find a lot of people who've been sitting on T3s.

Thanks ^_^ I also find the tp drain proccing a LOT on nin, whenever I use twilight dagger I gain tp at insanely fast rates it's like passive meditate sometimes..

Plus limits tp moves coming your way. And the hp drain is usually enough to keep up with minor hp losses like dots or rare hits
