It'll be really interesting to see what happens to alex with the Sept update if they a.) allow solo or duo into salvage without dc/warp bs, b.) make salvage gear augmentable, c.) augment salvage gear by synergizing 15/25/35 gear into tatter/scrap type items. Thanks for dynamis tips btw.
SpeakIng of light Luggage. Anyone have an up to date item list? I want to AE brew my last 20 Buhkis Wings for Gandiva, but need the item number so it autolots and the wings will fall to me and not random.
I'm not sure what's going to happen to Alexandrite post-patch, but I'm satisfied paying 240mil for a Mythic so I'm trying to buy as much Alex as I can before the patch. There are a lot of different things they could do to screw me, and quite a few things they could do to profit me hugely. For instance:
1) They lower the Alexandrite requirements to 3000 instead of 30,000 but don't make it any easier to farm. Suddenly there are a lot of people looking for 3,000 Alexandrite and I have almost 17000 I don't need. 20k per Alex (60mil per mythic weapon) would not be unreasonable both in terms of how quickly you can farm them and price per weapon, which is a huge return on my investment.
2) They add new sources of Alexandrite and give genuine incentives to do ToAU content. Alex supply shoots up, but so does demand as more people do ToAU stuff and dream of a mythic. - More competition, higher Alex prices. Bad for me because I still need 10k.
3) They have already said they aren't going to do 1 or 2 and aren't going to reduce the entrance requirements for Nyzul Isle, Assaults, or Salvage, so most likely are your options b and c. If this happens, Alex supply will increase, but demand for Alex will increase and the prices will probably even out to reflect the time spent farming (similar to the dynamis), which would cause a rise in Alexandrite prices probably to ~10k each.
So I'm betting 3 is what happens, but it isn't such a severe price jump that I'm in a huge rush. When you're already spending 240 mil, what's another 20? Also, I've solo farmed quite a few 35s now. Anyone in the market for Usu Tatters? :3
Has anyone secured a Sagasinger to speak on the proc rate?
Sheesh, tell me about it. I've stopped doing Salvage daily basically because I'm tired of bugging friends to let me in, haha.
Forgive my truly atrocious MS Paint usage, but I made this schematic of Skillchain relationships:
All the horizontal ones are reciprocal, so Compression -> Detonation and Detonation -> Compression both make skillchains. Induration -> Reverbration and Reverbration -> Induration also both make skillchains, etc. If they are not reciprocal, they won't be horizontal and the dot will indicate which is the opening property. There are basically 12 skillchains from the reciprocal properties (6 horizontal lines) and 7 random relationships (one of which is a tier 2 skillchain). It's not symmetric, nor is it particularly logical. They probably just made arbitrary skillchain connections for balance reasons around release and never changed them back to something logical.
Anyone know of some decent spots to farm currency in Dynamis-Windy.
I’ll mainly be going solo as Bst/Dnc so obviously a JA camp would be ideal.
I’ll sometimes be duoing so maybe a JA & Magic area would work as well?
I can go as Bst/Whm/Blm/Pup/Nin/Brd/Smn
Duo buddy as Bst/Thf/Mnk/War/Dnc
I was thinking duo wise, a Bst/Dnc and Brd/Dnc could cover everything.
Spamming Threnody and Lullaby are magic procs correct?
Just go in and look around for a nice group of mobs that are ja proc. It isn't like there's very many good spots.
I don't know what kind of proc rate other people get for magic, but I get about 5%. It's really not worth it for me to try and proc magic mobs.
Can you do a COP dynamis and a normal dynamis in the same day?
Is it possible that an Elemental Gorget's latent effect also procs on a Weaponskill sharing the same element?
To make a long story short; Someone is claiming that Flame Gorget boosted the damage of their Wildfire (When it should only be Soil/Shadow Gorget). I'd like to know if it's possible or if it was just faulty sample size from Borer Beetles.
I noticed that Wildfire is one of the few WS's that actually has a different skill chain element to the weapon-skills element. Usually elemental WS and their skillchains overlaps by nature (ex: Aeolian Edge with Wind SC, etc.. etc..) So maybe it's some kind of fluke oversight?
