Could someone resolve a dispute that's currently going on in my social ls in regards to the conditions required to access the Roundel Earring BC.

Did they actually change it so that you need to hold all zones plus Castle O, as the one person is saying? Or is it just broken right now because people have been spamming it?

I don't understand why this has constantly been an argument since before the level cap increase in like 2009. You've always needed all the zones including castle oztroja in order to access the BCNM.

Not at all. What I'm trying to say is that they don't proc on WS at all, and the reason people miss the proc is a lot the time with haste/marches etc you are getting melee attack rounds in during your gear swap to and from WS gear or to and from MDT gear, evasion gear, shadow casting gear, w/e gear swaps you may have. Since those melee rounds are occuring during the swaps, the TH procs are prevented from hitting the chat log.

If you don't believe additional effects can proc on weapon skills I suggest you go use a ranged weapon skill with a sleep bolt. You'll easily notice that the mob is asleep.

Sounds a little crazy, but would it be worth it to make a kinda subtle blow set for war? Replacing low impact items with ones with subtle blow (Rav gorget>Torero or something)? Mainly for monsters with particularly nasty TP moves that I wanna melee still.

Still maintain capped haste, 6 hit (which I was using anyways), and with +2 feet'd auspice, I sit at 47.

My question is, would it be worth it to make this set? If it's a mob with nasty AoE, should I be meleeing in the first place? How much does the extra 27 subtle blow do for a 2 handed weapon? This thought came up while doing apademak. I didn't even bother to engage since I was main healing (well, I played whm, the tank also played his whm mule). Once another whm came, I engaged on a couple to make them go faster, turning once in a while and using meditate and TP wings to WS, but I just gave the damn thing too much TP so I stopped. Thoughts?

I actually have all the items minus attilas, lol so maybe I'll try it out tonight and see how it goes.

1) Does the AF body need to be equipped for the duration of Camouflage for it to have an affect, or does it just need to be equipped at use?

2) Same question but with the legs for Sharpshot.

3) Does Snapshot and Rapid Shot gear need to be macroed in preshot gear, or just Rapid Shot?

Not sure about 1.

2) You can macro out legs.

3) Not sure what you mean. If you are macroing in rapid shot there would be no place to macro it in other than preshot.

As far as I know, the only 3 pieces you can use on RNG with rapid shot are AF head, relic body, and entois trousers. 2/3 of these slots have snapshot available for them, there are no legs with rapid shot. So yeah, macro in both.

Spawns at murexs normally on the move up the hill towards gears; if it makes it past that i think it heads to where IC is popped, but I've never seen it get that far lol.

Guy on the official forum made a good point tho. Sleep bolts/Bloody bolts will proc on ranged WS, I was unaware of this and just tested it out myself.

Where do people normally go for soloing jobs past 37? I know Qufim is good until then but I was looking to get WAR from 37-50 and DNC from 30-50. Any help on locations to xp would be appreciated as I doubt I'd be able to abyssea leech either of them all the way up. Thanks!

Never gotten it in a gold box, but gotten the other 2 KI's. Is it overcamped or something on your server? He's pretty quick/easy/painless to kill for KI.

There are a few Scars KI not in box.

In Coast, The bat and bugard KI are not in the box.
Chasm, Ghost, Doomed, Hound are not in box
Vunkler, Imp, and Devlinn and both the KIs for Ixion are not.

It can be argued both ways, some people prefer to have less amber because they say it gives them more feet, others prefer to have higher(or cap).

I personally have always just capped amber if I needed feet, yes key items are added to the list of possible drops but item pop items are taken out. Also, with capped amber you'll get gold chests more frequently than if it were low.

But really, random is random. I cleaved for hours and got 2 pairs of boots, all with capped amber, then suddenly in the last 45min we were there we got about 16 pairs. Just suck it up and cleave till they drop if you want the that badly.
