I am pretty sure Counter is checked first and that would limit your retaliation swing and that means lower tp gain, lower damage etc. /sam offers much more for WAR then for DRK too thats why /mnk is pretty good sub for DRK inside abyssea.

Yes, this is correct. Since Counter checks first, you're losing the Retaliation damage and TP gain to that 50% counter rate. That said, I've found it "useful" if I want to tank something a tad for hard-hitting on Warrior..but at that point I'd generally opt for MNK NIN.. or PLD.

yeah, it's be for tanking things that hit a little bit too hard for /sam. My nin is gimp and takes too fucking long to kill things, so I think I'd opt to war/mnk over nin/war. Obviously damage is best war/sam, looking for a little more survivability though.

I got a pair of Ocelot Trousers yesterday, but I'm not sure if I should use them at all, or if so, when I should use them. My jobs atm are BLU/MNK/NIN, with WAR able to equip them at some point next week. I have +2 pants for all of my jobs though, as well as Byakko's Haidate, so I'm honestly kind of struggling to see a purpose to them.

Also, what's a good WS neck piece for my NIN? I have the Iga Erimaki in that slot right now, but I suspect there's something better, possibly even for TP, which is what I'm using it for now.

On NIN, I use them as a general evasion piece as well as in my Evasion TP set. On WAR, I don't touch them. BLU I can't help you with.

You should be using Rancor Collar for WS.

It is a decent TP piece for BLU if you don't have empyrean pants.

Anyway to save more than 4 POL ID's to POL? I was thinking somehow through EU/JP POLs, but I have no idea how to go about this. Or any way to add more IDs with 3rd party tools of some sort?

Is farming 297 Kindred Seals for a small chance of drop going to be my best bet @ obtaining black belt? have only seen 1 of each of the king pop items and they are quite high in price.

Could buy it off groups doing KS99 if it's in your price range. Other than that, farming your own seals is probably your only option. Don't forget you can convert other seals/crests into Kindred Seals if you want to save yourself some time.

I use them in my MNK evasion set which I don't use very much at all but they do come in handy from time to time.

do statues/eyes still drop 100's in dyna? been looking around but really cant find any info on this. im thinking no only nms but eh figured was worth asking.

No. Farm 8m gil and just buy the bb items offa other groups. Going out of your way to farm ks/kc/bs/hqkc is just a waste of time really.

What do the BB items go for nowadays? Been a few years since I touched the game, but coming back I'd like to finish the quest and get mnk to 90+. I have the Behemoth Tongue, just need beard and egg.

Beard is the cheapest, egg is the most expensive. I honestly can't give you numbers outside of that but I've seen 2m as the avg for beards and 4-8m for eggs. Ada path is just all sorts of silly.

Idk what your server is like but I personally frequently do KS99s for behe for the pop items at my lame ass attempt to get dat ring, so for that I just basically give away BB items. I would be shocked if there wasn't someone on your server that operates similarly to me lol.

No, they don't.

This, monk is all you'll use them for but they're a good piece for your evasion set, worth holding on to.
