So I've never used my THF for anything besides THing stuff. I'm looking to starting duoing dynamis with my WHM mule...

THF/DNC is the plan with WHM mule (maybe a BLM mule to spam dia/bio for proc's as well).

Looking for TP / WS gearsets along with good strategies for the normal city zones (mainly Sandy + Bastok).

Gearsets for THF? I'm assuming you just want a basic TP/WS set? This is what I use:

For daggers, I would probably use Twilight/Triplus (after first swing with TK+AA+RP+2) or just full time Twilight/TK if you don't feel like swapping (and losing TP) every mob.

For WS, change Moonshade to Pixie, Thundersoul to Rajas and use Evisceration.

There were "rumors" that one enhances frequency (lots of .1s, .2s) while the other enhances potency (.4s, and .5s). Perhaps the frequency one is better for 2-Handed weapons and the potency is better for 1-Handed. In all honesty, I just bought the cheaper of the 2 foods and joined a Dom-Ops party. Both will get the job done.

Apollo's offers no cure advantage over Light, if that's what you're buying it for. Are you asking if you should buy it because it has higher accuracy for Repose? Well then, maybe you should take Apollo's to Light.

Can war+whm dualbox lamprey lord or shoggoth? Going to start my baby blobdingnad farming, I can go nin if needed instead of war but it'd just be so much slower.

Edit: also, set up for blobdingnad itself? Can't find much info on it.

Both LL and Shoggoth will give you troubles from time to time, Chainspell nukes can be hard to keep up with, and both mobs have overly frequent hate resets, For LL I think there is a pin spot in every zone it can be popped in to kite nuke or even Med / WS if needed, Makes the fight take forever but atleast its a kill.

LL isn't too bad with a solid DD and a solid WHM. Sloggoth is a PITA though. Sleep spam and CS. 3DD with poison pots and a curer would be best for him. Blobdingnah is a push over if you fight him in a puddle, the babies will deaggro.

Second best would be Bedlam (+1/+2), third would be Phineus' Gun (neither of which are particularly easy to get). Outside of those two, a bunch of guns in the 46-52 DMG rating range. Exequy Gun, Miramar Gun, Cecchino's Fucile, etc. Miramar is probably the best you can do if you're talking about buying something right off AH.

For atmas, it depends if you have access to Wildfire or not. Once you do, you'd generally focus atmas on high damage Wildfire, so you're probably going to want to stack fire potency (Smoldering Sky, Lone Wolf) and MAB (Ultimate, Hell's Guardian, etc.), or some combination of fire potency, MAB, and regain (Sea Daughter, Sundering Slash). Until then, it really doesn't matter all that much. I'd probably gear atmas for Leaden Salute if I didn't have Wildfire (Ultimate, Cosmos, and probably sea daughter). MAB atmas also have the side benefit of boosting up your elemental shot damage.

It's variable. It might be random, or it might be based on something that isn't entirely obvious. In any case, they can give 16/32/64/128. Just last night I was getting 128 Azure from Ephs.

This is not a -pdt question, but rather a generic pet: defense one.

My question is simple enough:
How much of an effect do items like the Primal Belt (+5 Def) and Beast Bazubands(+5% def) have on a pet?

On a player, for instance, the effects would be pretty minimal or even insignificant. Is it different for pets?

no, yes, both can be. Carabosse magic hits like a truck without shell, and if in a certain mode, it'll constatly dispelga you.
