Seiryu with 3 crit rate is pretty decent too
I've answered this question for other people before, so maybe I shouldn't keep posting the same thing over and over...
I'd say just go as ninja. The fights aren't the long part of upgrading abyssites, so it really isn't going to make a huge difference.
LL is stupid easy; don't get hit (especially when it uses blood weapon) and stun acid mist. Going as WHM/BLM will let you stun most of them, but it can use it as soon as stun wears if it feels like it. I can't see any need to use a pin spot for it anymore. The additional effect: poison on its melee attacks will wreck you if you let it.
Just bring poison potions and a ton of MDT for Shoggoth. All of its TP attacks can be avoided by turning around.
Blobdingnag can easily be done with a NIN and a WHM if the WHM is quick with cures, but you really should bring another DD. THF NIN WHM made it extremely easy. Relevant stuff: It has a noticeable amount of regain, Digest hurts (800 DMG), little blobs fall in two Aeolian Edges, it's possible for it to call more little blobs before you've defeated a previous group.
The real reason I responded is to warn you against the puddle trick. It never worked for me or anyone that I know. You really shouldn't rely on it.
Best leveling area for Bst level 58+ that doesn't involve abyssea zones?
Do I not get five shadows with Utsusemi: Ni with the AF3 +2 feet?
Is there a place with approximate stats on Abyssea NMs, sky gods, and hq and nq kings?
Does Bhumi pop in specific areas in Tahrongi? Wiki says near flux 2/7, but Im looking for more accurate spawns than that
