You can do it pup/nin with a bit of evasion gear. You probably want to bring a thf for TH though. Use wind/thunder maneuvers to put him into sharpshot frame.

You cannot kite them because they will randomly return to the person who has hate on PW. My ls attempted it with 10-13, couple joined mid-fight.

Here's the thing. The fight is pretty damn easy until the final form. Kill the lamps before you kill each form, they go down with 2 Fudos or Ukko's or what have you, so they're really easy and shouldn't even be able to get a tp move off. Stun the big moves on the HNMs like Fulmination and w/e and you're fine.

How we attempted the final form was Perfect Defense and tried to zerg it down. A couple of our major DDs went down before that got off because as soon as it gets into the final form all the lamps and the main insta-cast -aga IIIs. After that initial bomb went off though we got it to 75% and even with PD up AF wiped the shit out of everybody in range, it didn't even get all of them off. I don't know if this is a glitch or what it does but if it doesn't get all of the AFs off and it deaggros, whoever claims it next will get whatever remaining AFs are up to the face. So at this point we're zombie-ing it. Our Burtgang/Aegis PLD (with full mdt gear, highest amount possible, I forgot the exact number but I know 100% doesn't just make you immune.) would die in a matter of seconds after re-engaging from the -gas from all the lamps. At this point we had like 45 mins left. At that point the only way to make it managable was to AoE the lamps down and re-engage til the next AF, eat dirt with as little people as possible and kill all the lamps again. We managed to get it to 50% before we timed out because we had a lack of Fell Cleavers or BLUs to Cannonball or what have you to kill off the lamps.

Based on our experience, we could definitely do it if we had another pop, PD seems to do absolutely nothing for AF, so bring lots of WARs or BLUs to zombie off the lamps then take it down the next 25% mark. The lamps do not at all regen, so zombieing them works well. We only had one WAR, rest were Masamune/Relic SAMs. In the 45 mins we had left a single war was able to fell cleave the lamps to death twice by himself. So 3-4 WARs all doing it should guarantee a win. Have a BRD or somebody with twilight set to hold it while you zombie the lamps down.

We basically lost because we came ill-prepared, expecting our PLD or Perfect Defense to be able to take the AFs.

Probably not the most solid strat but I'm recalling these details from about a month ago and what we planned to do next time if we ever get a pop again.

if you have, or plan on getting jishnu at somepoint, some crit hit dmg+ daggers may be nice after you've exhausted other job options

The Pandemonium Lamps won't return to the person who has hate on Pandemonium, they will return to the person who had the most hate on it before it changes form.

So, if you have someone act on it before it goes out of Devgr form every time, lamps will stay on them (unless SMNs use Release or the like that gives hate on non-targeted monsters). Get people who can hold all of them at a time (having a RDM and PLD and a WHM or two for support is generally more than enough) and you'll have no need to kill them. All of the forms bar the last go down laughably fast, and you'll more than probably have to die before that form; then Perfect Defense with a single zerg melee party can take it down well before it wears.

Not a clue what Kuishen is reporting but Perfect Defense held through Astral Flow just fine.

Hot Shot gives Ruby. So does Tachi: Goten and Tachi: Kagero iirc, but not 100% on those two.

Shining Blade, Rock Crusher, Gust Slash, in fact, any NQ version of a WS used for red (Burning Blade/RLB, Shining/Seraph Blade/Strike, Rock/Earth Crusher, etc).
    Also Trueflight and Primal Rend.

So since re-installing, I downloaded windower (most recent) and run these plugins:
    load TParty
    load TimeStamp
    load SSOrganizer
    load Silence
    load Recast
    load Distance
    load ConsoleBG
    load ChatMon
    //load BlinkMeNot
    //load infobar
    load StatusTimer
    load YarnBall
    load ExpWatch
    load Spellcast

My game keeps freezing for 1-2 seconds fairly frequently. Has anyone else experianced that? After using a plugin or after an update? I played the game once without windower after installing and I don't remember it freezing like this.

Yarnball is broken from the update still, iirc.

Edit: And chatmon, maybe? I don't know if they fixed it since I don't use it.

Hmm, unloaded that but still freezing. Maybe it's a windower thing and not a plugin one. I'll try unloading everything.
Also, my recast doesn't seem to appear. Or at least not when I use berserk/aggressor/restraint/provoke/retalliation (I've only had time to play around on war so far).

Edit: Not a plugin thing, still freezing with everything unloaded. Hmm...

Did you happen to update your resources.xml recently too? They do some stupid link redirect thing now, so if you update it by "right click > save link as" it saves a bunch of junk instead. Had it happen to me and a friend.

/shrug Everybody still had PD on and AF raped the remaining DDs that were on it when it AF'd so I don't know what happened. The whole transition into the last form was very sloppy on our part though so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

Also did not know that lamp hate worked like that. I mean, either way works the lamps don't hit hard and they go down really fast so /shrug. Definitely want to give it another try if we ever get the chance. One of the few unique and enjoyable experiences I've had in the game. Some of the others being bonanza BCNMs.

Resources updated what I reloaded all the plugins after unloading them to see if it helped. I'm gonna log on non-windower, double check.

    Theoretically speaking.

Say a THF is wielding a Del:176 Dagger, and a Del:186... With Store TP+39... How many swings would it take for them to get 100% TP? Dual Wield II involved.

    176+186= 362 delay *15% DWII reduction = 308 delay

with +39 Store TP you are looking at ~17 hits to reach 100 TP
