I'm going for Terpsichore on Lakshmi, and I intend to start it by making a shitton of gil. Bronze/Shell/Bynes are 14/13/10 respectively. Is there a reason for me to farm somewhere other than Dynamis - Sandy? (DNC/NIN + WHM/THF) Charmga hasn't been an issue so far (none of them have used it).

Could I make better gil/hour doing something else?


Also, I'm interested in burning the thousand+ Beastman Seals I have, with Up In Arms being by far the simplest way to do it. With these guys having those jobs above 60 (both played by me), what is the easiest and most foolproof way I could duo Up In Arms?
Me: BLM, RDM, NIN, BRD, DNC, RNG, BST, WAR
Mule: BLM, RDM, NIN, WHM, SAM, DRG, BRD, THF
I don't care if the strategy requires one 2-hour, but I'd like to do the fight twice in a row so I don't have to wait. Bonus points if one of the characters can sub WHM.

Apart from that, I'm going to be farming Limbus (10k/ABC) and Salvage (I expect to quickly outpace supply) when there is time. If anyone else has gil-making ideas, wants to sell me a ton of Alexandrite, or wants to team up for requirements on Lakshmi, PM me! I need to do damned near everything.

I'm thinking about using a friend's account as an alt because its got all lowbie quests done, but it requires the leveling of a couple useful jobs... what's the current fastest way to get from level 0 to 30? I haven't really kept up with the times on that stuff.

Grounds of Valor. First go to any starter area and do basic pages until level 10, then go to Bostaunieux Oubliette and use your main to kill leeches for page 4 there. From some pages in this topic:

Page 4 in Bostaunieux (leeches). Park your lowbie at the H-10 book (with the book dialogue open, so sneak never wears), and go to town on the leeches downstairs. Did 10-30 in a few hours that way. As for 1-10, I just did some FoV outside Sandy.

Re: Up in Arms - Shouldn't need to dem to get there (which I assume the /whm is for), Horst > grauberg instead. 2x BLM is an easy way, open with timed nuke, grav and kite. Sleep lands a few times, bind after that if you need to rest, but I've done it as blm/sch + rdm/whm before rdm mule had elemental skill levelled and my taru MP was nearly enough to kill it in 1 charge, with refresh and darkarts.

Depending how much extra time you have (salvage + dynamis daily is only ~4 hours), goldboxes in either uleg (sis frags), altep (tiger hides) or konschtat (dark rings, sell leech spot for a refresh pin maybe?) can fill in the extra.

Been a while since I did sandy, but I assume you can hit all TE fairly easily? Top of AH being the one I'd be most concerned about. Alternatively xarc since currency prices so close(14/12/6 still here >.>; ) and TE there are cake-easy.

If you're looking to challenge yourself while making more gil/b.seal, could do Under Obs. I'm currently 0/60+ on club and recently helped a friend do 3 UO and he came out with 2 ni, phalanx, refresh, and erase.

With the going price of ni exceeding 1M on rag, he made about as much gil as I did in NPCable oxblood over 60 orbs -.-

Not to mention being able to get 2 ni (rarely) and peacock charm still being worth something.

EDIT: If you still really wanna do up in arms, then RDM BRD or BLM BRD makes the thing cake. With HQ staves, I have never seen a resisted sleep nor resisted lullaby, but I never had to sleep it that often.

And seeing that ni is 1.5M on lak, I feel you'd be crazy not to give that a try instead.

I definitely want to get Ascetic's, but I'm perpetually stuck on floor 10. Been trying to do this with my low-man group of friends, but it's hard to convince them to do something outside Abyssea right now.

And I know I have lots of questions... It's been a long time since I really played beyond just being a WHM when the only cool things to have were Noble's and a Light staff (and stacking MP) and a BST where I really didn't care about min/maxing since I was never allowed in to groups anyway, but any tips for a "low man" Nyzul? We have 4 people (self included) and occasionally a 5th. Should we just find a random pick up or will it not be necessary? We're not so much worried about killing and speed as we are about getting screwed on certain floor requirements.

A few months back I climbed 0-100 triboxing MNK BRD WHM with my cousin dualboxing WAR WHM. The only thing that could be a problem was frogs with their charm and once when we got white magic restriction from aggroing gears.

As long as you can quickly clear specific order lamp floors you should have a very high success rate on the way to 100.

Byrth, I've been considering doing a Mythic as well lately...mathing out what needs to be done and whatnot. Mostly because someone posted on here that 150 alex a run was easy on BST. If that's the case, I have 3 char's I could level BST on and do it in ~67 days, or I could do it on 2 chars and do assaults on the main...effectively doing the annoying part that can't be done at the same time at the same time. Then it's just Nyzul (I think I have 35k) and Ein (15kish).

I'm actually trying to level gold at the moment and have done synergy 0-63 in the last day on my WW mule...so yeah. Am need money and kind of want mythic. I may go ahead and finish ochain first though...

1) Radec, I assume you were casting low-tier nukes and not AM'ing it like people used to suggest? Just Grav + Nuke? The AM way was always incredible MP inefficient.
2) Rehn, do you know any way to dualbox Under Observation? I know BST could do it if I was willing to burn a billion Dawn Mulsums, but I'm looking to make the most gil possible.

As far as 150 Alex per run average solo... there's no way in hell. I got 94 last SSR run including a Linen Pouch for 70. Even with max TH, Linen pouches are below a 50% drop rate in my experience. I'm betting you average out to 50~60 per run on BST, and spend at least 20k on pets/items to do it. Also, doing a full four NMs + Boss on BST probably isn't viable unless you've got a near-perfect BST and get lucky with the starting cells. Undulatus (jug ammo) isn't a 100% drop off the starting chest, and it's going to be a pain in the ass to kite/deagro/kill the 6 fomor at the end of the level until you get to the one with Undulatus (well, I think the dropper is a Monk, so you could get him kind of early on). Fact of the matter is, if you want Alexandrite at the moment it's cheaper and faster to solo Dynamis, sell currency, and buy Alexandrite.
